I installed HBC and gamma launcher on my 3.4U.

Been reading (too much) and now confused.

    1. Do I need to also install Starfall? What does this do? I am on 3.4 but it is recommended for 3.2?

    2. What does Gecko do? Should I install that as well?

All I want is to use homebrew stuff and occassionally play backup NTSC and PAL games.

Simply put, it enable you to tweak the Wii's System Menu.
It also adds a recovery mode. Which provides extra security against possible bricks.

Check out Starfall Wiibrew for more info.
Since it's only available for 3.2 Wii's, you'd have to downgrade to install Starfall.

Gecko OS is used for launchers/loaders. You don't need it. I think you already have it. The loader is based on Gecko OS.

1)IF you aren't going to mess with WADs, better off with not installing it...

2)Gecko OS is something like Backup Launcher Gamma, only it's for those who has a modchip. So if you don't have a modchip, stick with BLG

I recommend you to downgrade your firmware.
