Hacking Noob Help - booting problems

Hi,
im using the Ewin2 SD card with the pass WE3 card, and a 1 gig SD card, on an original DS(old firmware). Whenever i boot my system it just hangs on the health and saftey warning screen. I have tried both FAT and FAT32, and added the games using the tool, is there anything else that needs to be on the card apart from the games in order to get it too boot, I can't seem to find any documentation on it. I emailed the shop which I purchased the device from and they said that the card and cart are compat, so im baffled, any help would be great,
