hey guys,

i hope you can give me some direction. i just bought a NDS Lite, and I would like to play commercial NDS (and GBA games if possible, but not required) on it. I've read through these forums and the reviews on the main site of different carts, etc, but i honestly dont know what i need to get or what i need to do. basically, im looking for the most cost effective and best solution to fill my needs (mainly to play commercial NDS games). I think from reading that some of these methods require you to flash the DS system itself, personally, i would prefer if there was a method that didnt require this as i wouldnt want to risk any damage. Can someone fill me in on exactly what i need/should buy, as i have absolutely no clue.

I really appreciate any response you guys can give me

search? just a thought. Not actually sure what your question is since it's just a bunch of blah blah blah, but from what I gathered, you want a passme device and a sc lite or something along those lines. Am I close or are you asking for something else?

well, after spending a couple more hours looking, i think i may have the process down. i was looking at getting a supercard lite (which fits in the gba slot?), a superkey which fits in the DS slot, and i guess i need a microSD card as well. was there anything other hardware i would need to buy?

Just, in general, sound bars are a scam.

  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
An actual decent to good sound bar is going to be as expensive as a lower end home theater in a box system with less functionality and a poorer sound stage

  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
Which is to say you're spending so much money to still have 100% of the sound come from the bottom of the TV.

aye long as you're happy with your purchase that's the important part

  • KennieDaMeanie @ KennieDaMeanie:
You really can't judge based on video reviews as it's not the pure sound coming from it

  • KennieDaMeanie @ KennieDaMeanie:
So any product reviewer can just say spend $200 more on this cause it sounds better be your own judge

Plus stores have that 30 day return thing if you're not happy with it return it it shouldn't need to be a huge deal lol

I gotta sit down for a bit and play around with the new surround receiver I bought

Does everything I need it to however it's got some peculiarities that either I'm just being big dumb and not understanding right, or are a complete dealbreaker

I'd love to own a good klipsch or Yamaha receiver but I don't really need to spend $200+ on a receiver living in a single bedroom apartment

Funny that, I actually just replaced a Yamaha receiver, replaced it with a manufacturer refurbished Denon unit
    Gift
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
Only reason for replacing is that the Yamaha unit was like 8 years old and didn't support 4k video

    Denon makes good shit

  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
And now that I think of it, only a single device that's plugged into it is even capable of outputting a 4k signal anyway lmfao
