No Wi-Fi at College but Network Card doesn't support Hosted Networks

    you'll have to get a new network card or fix it since connectify uses it to create the wireless access point

    Why don't you just buy a wireless router and hook it up?

    What he said. You can buy a router that plugs into the Ethernet port and using that router it can transmit a WiFi signal.

    And if your not supposed to have wireless routers at college, set the mac address on the routers WAN port to be the same as your laptops mac address and it will happily work. (That's presuming you have to register your devices via mac address at your college, if not it should just work).

    Either way a cheap wireless router is what you require and will do exactly what you want.
