Hacking No way to run USB GCN backups

I have tried EVERYTHING and yet I am always stuck at the DIOS MIOS (2.9) splash screen. Tried various versions of DIOS MIOS with various usb loaders. Also tried Devolution with a Metroid Prime disc only to get a black screen. What are the chances my USB drive is incompatible?

Run a partition editing software and take a screenshot of the drive's partition layout.
