Hacking No light on the Cyclowiz LED

Hi,

I just installed a cyclowiz chip and the soldering seems fine as far as I can tell* but when I turn the wii on, the LED doesn't light up. The wii still plays my originals, just not my backups.

Does that mean that the chip is broken or is there something I should try before I return it? If not, I'll need some tips on how to remove the chip :s






*this is only the second time I do this, I tried taking pictures with my phone but failed
