Is it true that the cycloDS doesn't let you boot GBA games from a slot 2 card?

I'm really keen to find a neat solution that will let me play GBA games and DS games without having to carry around multiple cards. I want to leave a card in slot 1 & a card in slot 2 and be done with it.

Is there any other solution besides an M3DS REAL with the GBA expansion?

get a dedicated slot 1 card and then get either an EZ 3 in 1 or the eWIN gba expansion pack

all slot 1 cards should allow you to play gba from your slot 2

From the GBATemp review of the CycloDS

Boot to slot-2
This allows you to use the CycloDS Evolution as a PassMe (or if you're getting technical; a NoPass) and boot to a slot-2 device.
Unfortunately it does not support booting of GBA games.

Does this just mean that you can't boot GBA game from the cycloDS menu?

You can always use Rudolphs tool or NDStation from any Slot-1 cart. If you want something the M3 Real offers (launch GBA games directly from the Slot-1 menu) you should get an M3 Real or a CycloDS Evolution with EZ 3 in 1. I'm not 100% positive, but I'm almost sure that it supports something like this too.
