Or at least that is what Eurogamer is saying.
I still want a Wii U...
Hopefully this means no more stability updates
RIP Wii U
Do you smell it? That smell. A kind of smelly smell. The smelly smell that smells... smelly. [whispering]. team SALT's IOSU!
Yay no more updates! .
Maybe it's time to get a Wii U ... If I had the money to buy one ...
Here's to hoping the Switch can turn things around
Remain wary, they could always pull what Sony did with the psp. Years after it wasn't being worked on anymore they brought around a surprise stability update.
I am shocked it took this long.
Art thou feeling it now, Mr. Krabs?
the switch will not be replacing the wiiu
WiiU havent received an update since January 11th, 2016

I bought one like 2 weeks ago when WupInstaller thing got released.
"I can't quit U!"
So the Switch isnt replacing the wiiu, but Nintendo is ending the Wiiu's production... something in there doesn't quite add up. And I'll bet they have another 3DS or handheld on the back burner.
The whole thing is pointless. This "announcement" doesn't reveal its source, thus no way to establish a connection to Nintendo.
Thank you for pointing that out. Not only does Eurogamer not site a source, but the OP (who has broken the reporting rules before) copypasta'd the article right this thread... That's a no no.
