The spelling here made me cringe.

I'm so so sorry for typing while also walking my dog at the same time. How dare I accidentally type something wrong. Oh yep I'm also dyslexic but heyho thanks for pointing out my mistake.

I was first set on buying Origami King day one, but now I'm gonna wait until first batch of reviews come in. From the few glimpses I gave at some biased Nintendo channel's previews it should be something you ldon't want to miss out on, but we still need to see. Might just get Bug Fables instead...

Wouldn't it be ironic if Bug Fables outsells Origami King or tops it on the charts? Not trying to be negative but Nintendo/Intelligent Systems still hasn't topped the original and The Thousand Year Door.

Famitsu the Japanese mag who are notoriously hard to please gave Origami King 36 out of 40 so that is hopefully a good sign.

You right. I always confuse them for some reason. So maybe it's gonna be shantae maker or shantae kart.

Shantae make doesn't sound like a bad idea, but shantae kart sounds like a bit of a stretch.

Still, hopefully is something more recognizable. Feel like they need a break from shantae.

not all reviews are worth full price for a 40.
famitsu is also notorious sellouts who'll give high grades to anyone who pays them enough.
not to mention giving 40s all the time would lessen their effects so they save it for big risky releases like botw or just games they want to catch on.

that's why dead heat breakers and ex troopers don't have a 40, but smash bros brawl and nintendogs do.

if you don't believe just look into it, should be fairly easy to find info on it. it's not like it's a secret in the industry.

I admit I'm not the most familiar with Famitsu, but I've always had the impression that they give Nintendo games higher than average ratings. Also I feel I've seen 36/40 come from them quite often.

Still I'm hoping the game is good, but staying cautious

I really want N64 on NSO. It's not like the hardware can't do it. I know they wouldn't reveal something like that in a Treehouse event, but c'mooooon, Nintendo, pleaaaaaaseeeeee. Pleeeease.

If I whine enough, it'll happen, right?

    Metroid Prime 4 when?

Like, when are we getting an actual trailer, assuming the game hasn't been outright cancelled?

I don't know why anybody would assume that, they announced development was being restarted only a year and a half ago. You're looking at a minimum of three years development time for a game of this scope. There was an announcement of another new hire to Retro Studios just 11 days ago. So yeah, probably don't expect a trailer for another six months at least, and just plan on MP4 being an end-of-life game for Switch/launch title for Switch 2. That way it's a pleasant surprise if it comes out sooner.

I want to be positive, but 2020 isn't exactly all sunshine and rainbows, you know? I just have this feeling that the difficulties thanks to the lockdowns and social distancing may have slowed the work being done on projects that I think Nintendo would have planned to show this year in addition to the new Paper Mario game.

That's definitely a possibility, though it worth noting Japan has handled the pandemic far better than the US. 2019 was also a pretty stellar year for Switch releases, so I think a bit of a slow down was inevitable regardless of COVID or other outside factors.

Meh going to check a resume since I'm not interested on Color Splash 2/DX

Hopefully there's a direct like it was rumored because getting some news on Twitter feels really bad and most of the times I forget about it

Wasn't there 'rumours' of metroid trilogy to release in July? Guess it was too good to be true.
