Club Nintendo, the official Nintendo mag for Latin America, has interviews with Nintendo's Shigeru Miyamoto and company exec Reggie Fils-Aime. According to translations from game site Go Nintendo, Miyamoto says there won't be any more peripherals — there's too many already. The game creator won't say if Wii Motion Plus will be in future Zelda games, but confirms what we already knew: They are working on new Zelda titles.

While Miyamoto says to expect an announcement about hard drive solutions in the future (but doesn't confirm an hard drive), Reggie says Nintendo is not making a hard drive and will come up with a better solution. Reggie also says a DS redesign is when sales go down, which seems to mean that we shouldn't get our hopes up at the present moment. Reggie also says that Animal Crossing is not casual and that the GTA DS game is for the core crowd. About Microsoft avatar, he adds that “copying is a way of flattering, so we’re very flattered.”

Hrm... Better solution than an actual hard drive? Why not, you know, just release a hard drive?

It would be nice if we could play WiiWare/VC games directly from this underused SD card.

Not sure but a few other places have a different translation and claim that its not "better than a hard drive" but actually "better than what there currently is", which would fit in with Nintendo and their overal cheapness with the Wii.

For those who have WiFi, you could send everything to their servers and for you to load it up when you need it. So for example, instead of downloading VC and WW games, you play them straight from the Internet. You pay a one time fee then it's free, just like actually downloading it.

Just a thought, but it probably won't happen.

It can't, since people use emulators for the VC games

Too many peripherals? Indeed that's true, but there aren't enough good ones in my mind. The Zapper, the wheel...they're pretty small and don't do the system justice. They should actually make a peripheral with extra BUTTONS, something like that one Xbox mech game or something that had it.
Ooooh, AC not casual?? I doubt it...it's becoming the next Pokemon; not a bad thing, but it's definitely being made to rack up sales from the ACWW crowd, and it's easy to tell because unlike WW, they're not messing with the formula at ALL.
Does this guy even know what he's saying? Rockstar made the decision for GTADS, not him, he's using it as a scapegoat for the "hardcore" crowd, but it's not his or his company's game. Lastly, considering copying a form of flattery is a cowardly excuse, seriously..

All the current peripherals suck. I wouldn't mind more decent ones.
I found the Microsoft avatar part funny, since everybody knows that Microsoft will do a better job with it's Avatar's than Nintendo will with it's Mii's.
    GTADS better not suck.
