The only input my audio sound bar can connect is digitial optical cable or bluetooth, i dont have any issue connecting it to my ps4 as it has optical out but switch i am unable, is there a recommended converter to connect switch via 3.5mm aux to my optical input soundbar?

my tv has an optical output and all sound goes out to an optical output. so a box isn't needed. most modern TVs can do this.

You can use any generic HDMI to HDMI/optical out splitter.

Grab one now as they’re going to be more in demand when the PS5 drops.

;)

this is how I have mine setup. my receiver is pretty ancient, so I use one of those. it's unplugged currently 'til I can glue this part that fell off of my entertainment center. it goes from my framemeister to that optical//hdmi out box. pretty inexpensive too. no need for high end convertors or anything. once we get new carpets, the entertainment center is going to go, so I can get a bigger than 32" tv. right now, I"m using a 28 inch one. the receiver will be retired then too. then, I can finally sell some gaming systems that I don't play like the 360 and ps3.
