Just unsubscribed because I use my DSi to run all these and more for free! Catch on Nintendo, we get it for FREE!

I pay $10 a year for NSO + Expansion Pack. Sure it's not free, but for me that's cheap as hell and I can play multiplayer on all the old games with friends which as far as I know you cannot do on DSi. Also on a big screen as opposed to the barely visible 3.5" DSi screen. That size might be okay if you're 20, but when you're 53 and have tri-focal glasses, it's a 100% deal breaker.

Switch 2 could basically be the Switch Ultimate. Having every Nintendo game.
Problem being that they'll lock them behind yet another NSO subscription tier, and it'll take forever before they release the top ten games on any given system. They say they want to combat piracy, yet their actions make it look more and more appealing as an alternative with each generation.

You realise that these services are for the people who don't have a modded Switch (and are the majority)? Why did you even bother to subscribe in the first place

I haven’t been subscribed for awhile but I do get tired of hearing people complain about this. Like really did you buy your switch just to play switch online classic games or did you buy it to go online with actual switch games like Mario kart 8 or whatever game. I like the idea of having these games available though at times though. Just look at switch online as bonus games especially now with the amount of games available. The price increase is what I’m wondering about that supposedly going to happen , I think it’s going probably be about an extra expansion thing only available on switch 2 maybe.

Seeing as this is just another news thread about what gets thrown on NSO this eon, Here's your possibly new fun fact that Switch Virtual Console was the original plan and they decided to switch to how they're doing things now.

If you want a TL:DR, they actually had to retest the games every time for the new console, including games that never made it to VC/NSO or made it years after the console's debut and they didn't want to do it for every console and they switched to the NSO model we have now becuase they tried to make a unified series of emulator to use for all future consoles and axed the ability to buy the games separately since they seemingly weren't able to connect Wii Accounts (and Nintendo Network accounts by proxy given how they suffered the same fate) to the Switch ones. Oh, and iQue ported thier N64 emulator for Wii U to Switch and used Vulkan for all the rendering .

Wow, another underwhelming set of games that barely sells me on the product! If I didn't use online to play with my brother across the world, I'd not be paying for NSO at all anymore. I can literally play my SNES games on my Steam Deck. I hope they decide to either bring back a virtual console, or just bring better games on the Switch 2.

what trash yet again...
While none of these games are Mother 3. None of these are trash. Super Hakkun is one of the best platformers on the snes with creative puzzle platforming and fatal fury 2 is a classic snk fighter you literally can't go wrong with it. (Just my opinion tho) Although ig to be fair ur better off playing the arcade version on something like Mame but still if you think these are trash give em a shot u may be surprised.

Mod DSi to do this, simple as easy as 123abc!
