Nintendo is bringing out some new-old games for the Switch, with this month's set of NES and SNES titles. On February 17th, you'll be able to play four new additions to Nintendo Switch Online, including the likes of fighting game DOOMSDAY WARRIOR, platformer Prehistorik Man, and side-scrolling action game Psycho Dream for the Super Nintendo. Meanwhile, the NES library gets Fire 'n Ice, a puzzle game.

    Holy obscurity, Batman!

First batch where I've literally never once heard of any of the games before.

Psycho Dream looks good! I really can't complain about the games the only thing I wish Nintendo do is actually give us all the games for free that makes the most sense. Eventually 5 years from now Nintendo Online would be obselete and you would not have access to any of the games unless they just give them all to us at EOL.

Still waiting for gameboy/gameboy color online. Nintendo is sitting on a gold mine and they are not even utilizing it :creep:

Fire 'n Ice is apparently Solomon's Key 2 and I once watched an episode of GameCenter CX on the original, so that's almost like I've heard of it.

Prehistorik Man is actually pretty entertaining.

It doesn't look terrible, but it does look like a bit of a Joe & Mac knockoff.

If anything, considering how it looks on the TG16 version of Double Dragon II's anime cutscenes, Doomsday Warrior could just be a Fist of the North Star game in the US much like how Last Battle was!

I rmemeber playing Fire 'n Ice ages ago way back when I was discovering emulators and such, it ain't a bad game I'd say.
Still, you forgot to add one game to the list: Mario 3d world, that just got released online too a few days ago :V

The only game I heard of is Prehistorik Man. To be honest it's a fairly good game. I recommend it to those with NSO who didn't played it yet. :)
I myself played the DOS version back in the day on the Windows 95. Maaan those were the days. Brings back so much memories! :)

Not bad, I actually like fire and ice, it’s been along time since I played it. Snes games might be enjoyable for me. You know what game should come on the snes, street fighter, I know switch has the 30th anniversary but that’s just the arcade version I’m surprised the switch version of that couldn’t include the snes versions of those games as well. I just want street fighter because I grew up playing the snes version before playing the arcade version.

Ok I'll be the contrarian here. I at least applaud them for offering us games most of us haven't played before. There's some sense of excitement in trying out a possible "sleeper hit". This beats giving us the same 1st party roms we've run on an emulator a million times.

I paid like $7 for the whole year from an eBay user, I had switch online for like 5 months now. I basically got it for switch games but this is still good to have for nes and snes.

Oh boy! More disappointment from Nintendo’s continuously mediocre online service!
