Yeah, that shit too is unacceptable.like what a fucking disgrace even PSN is better now with it's PAL 25 FPS games![]()
Crazy.Yeah, that shit too is unacceptable.
The PAL format should have never existed, it either sped up (movies/shows) or slowed down (games). Thankfully, by the DC/PS2 era games in PAL regions offered 60hz so they could actually play games as they were supposed to be.
Sonic 1 Genesis PAL version was something trippy.
In all fairness, Nintendo’s die hard fans have always been the biggest suckers in the industry. Let’s not forget that we’re talking about the company that propagated slicing a game in half to sell two different versions of the exact same thing, and give people a reason to buy an overpriced link cable. To this day nostalgia fiends are perfectly happy paying over the odds for Pokémon cards that are particularly well-cut, or old games that are still sealed, with no intention of using either for their intended purpose since it’d “lower their value”. If there’s an audience you can sell 30+ year old ROM’s to (and I mean that literally - didn’t Nintendo get caught using scene releases?), it’s them. I personally don’t mind - I only ever pay for the basic tier, and only when I need it. I can’t imagine paying a recurring subscription for this, the value just isn’t there.Used prices:
Congo's Caper - $27
Rival Turf! - $15
Pinball - $6
Umihara Kawase - $90
So it is 138 USD on value, how amazing isn't it?
That is the Microsoft logic of value, that contaminated Nintendo, Sony and many gamers. This kind of service worth nothing, they just took online play as hostage and are demanding money for it. You do not keep those games, you do not own those games and most important of all, you never chosen those games.
I wonder how much worth a 12tb hyperspin HDD loaded of games that people sell on aliexpress for those look-the-value guys. Millions? Billions? Zillions? Anyway, people pay $72,000 on a monkey profile picture nowadays, so, whatever.
Well, that’s a yes and a no, really. PAL uses a lower refresh rate, 50Hz vs 60Hz, but it does display more lines, 625 vs 525. Losses in framerate did translate to higher picture quality. This doesn’t necessarily translate to gaming, it depends on the game, but overall real PAL displays are crisper compared to NTSC equivalents. As someone who grew up on the PAL standard NTSC versions seem off to me, although with the advent of HD displays the resolution advantage became somewhat moot.Yeah, that shit too is unacceptable.

Actually some do love Nintendo originals. It's never the same without the Nintendo stamp. This group may be small but they could be rich. People who grew up with Nintendo toys probably have a higher income level than those that didn't.

That's the strategy of Nintendo isn't it? Nostalgia?
People always think that the games they played when they were young are better- until they play them again now. Most of the NES/SNES games didn't aged well and are not as fun as you remembered them. If there's a time machine and you sent people back in time, the good old days won't be as good as you remembered - nostalgia is an illusion of the past.
In the recent book by Reggie, he said that Nintendo refused to bundle Wii Sports for free with the Wii console back in 2006. He has to push them and fight them before they reluctantly accepted his marketing strategy - which turned Wii into a great success in the US - because of those Wii Sports games.
Miyamoto told Reggie, "Nintendo don't give out free software." That pretty much sums up the motto of Nintendo.
You will never see Nintendo give out their current AAA games for free to their subscribers. They don't follow Sony or Microsoft, they are an 100+ years old ancient company that follows old ways of doing business.
Those who play everything Mario-related. Why do you think he appeared in an SSX and NBA Streets game (and his costumes in a freaking Tekken game)? But for real. Who plays pinball on NES? I never even heard of that ever. nintendo really putting out the big shit now
I've been playing Mario 64 on a 50" thru my PS4 and loving it. Don't really like gaming on small screens, but the 3DS and Vita are an exception. Switch, too.Dont mind me, im just enjoying NES & SNES emulation on my psp
But for real. Who plays pinball on NES? I never even heard of that ever. nintendo really putting out the big shit now
Free to play than just free (to claim).Sure seems like Ninty is trolling us at this point.
Really wish they'd just include the Japanese games as an option.
Rather than forcing us to use a Japan account and clogging up the news feed.
Anyone do that still?
Is it easier to clean that up these days?
I dont like to sacrifice ot just to play those games.
Meanwhile free on Steam Deck. (least I think its verified, it just run on dosbox)
