Hardware Nintendo switch no power ON, PI3USB chip burned, one path burned and a color filter.

Nintendo switch with no video signal and no power ON. The PI3USB chip burned with a burned path and a color filter. Replaced the chip with a new one, remade the destroyed route and burned filter. Functional now.

Vey nice job. Did you consider at one point running some enamelled wire from the chip directly to the choke? Potentially the route I would've went down. I know how time consuming it can be to repair torn traces.

Hello,

Same problem with 3 Switch that I repaired.
And it happened each time when I plugged the same charger (original one).
I suspect a charger with an erratic behavior that cause the problem.

It's enameled but I didn't go to choke.

Hello,

I suspect a charger with an erratic behavior that cause the problem.

This particular failure is going to be caused by the voltage-in pins on the port crossing with the display port data lines from P13. Sends 15v directly to P13 causing a fire. Very common on damaged charging ports, damaged docks, and damaged chargers.

Good job OP, love seeing electronics stay out of the scrap bin!
