Hola Juan!
parece un capacitador - 0805 quizas.. puede que mas grande, lo que no se es el valor... te dejo una foto de como se ve

looks like a capacitor - maybe 0805 or bigger but not sure of its value (could be 100nF) below a pic of how it looks like:

it looks to me like a DC~DC converter tho.. @mattytrog we need ya! lol

It's extremely possible that it's a custom version of the Toshiba one, in the Switch is labeled as "PP5 636" without a brand on it.

So close to the battery power manager ROHM M92T36 and as said probably a power manager IC (DC to DC).

Sorry, I'm new, so I can't post Links for more info.

Thanks for reply, shot helps a lot. If is a capacitor, isn't the most common one, for support, because no one of the sides lands to ground, like the 3 at their left

P.D. 99% is a coil by the picture, looks the difference in the middle, darker side like granulated, then at side to get solderer is thinner than capacitors
granulated

youre right it could be an inductor! check this out -==- https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32771547217.html

I have 2 boards but they now have more holes than a colander so everything is giving me a short lol but I will measure as soon as I get another switch to fix :)

I recommend to watch these series of videos:

There, a lot of switch components are explained and the process to replace them is detailed, I believe that the component you are looking for is the power management chip, which is easy to replace if you hace experience with electronics and wathc how is done in this video.

bear in mind this guy was very lucky in those videos... LOL he didn't came across partially shorted boards, bricked nands and blown pads & traces on the board tho... he must have a very reliable source of "faulty" equipment when it comes to buy a joblot like that, I guarantee you try to buy one of those joblots from eBay and you will lose a lot of money because usually.. the "faulty" switches we would have access to wont be "virgin" anymore but they would have been opened already and sometimes... sodomised by some brute.. unless you have a shop where people will walk in with 1st hand issues of course!

nevertheless, yes you can learn a lot by watching his videos and not only on switches so make sure you subscribe because the guy uses a lot of common sense to troubleshoot and I really like how "clean" he is with flux and soldering :)

ohh I feel it for you :( although those boards may become handy one day!!

I got a lot of 5.. managed to fix 4 and 1 I sold for parts (like separate parts)

then I been buying.. in total about 10 from shpock (bit like a posh version of craiglist but in the UK), Facebook MkPlace and eBay when I can see clear pics and the console has the serial code + all screws visible

I ended up with 3 consoles that I have problems with.. which I made a thread here about them but I still trying to work them out and although 2 of them could be (saleable) like saying (digital only.. or handheld only) there is a high risk they will come back home lol

anyway... is not my primary business (thankfully) :D:D

At the end take one of this coil from a mobile phone with same value. After solder it and assembly the switch connect the power lead, show the icon battery but then black screen an the fun start working at high revolutions. Not sure if that coil/circuit is the culprit, anybody know whats about this line or have a dissasembly board and can try it if removing it happens the same :shy:
