Many Nintendo Switch games are coming from small third-party developers, and in an interview from Nikkei suggests the hardware-maker pushed creators to get those titles published as soon as possible. Some games like "NBA Playgrounds" are being released at a alarming rate. The game's first trailer was released just one month before the game was released. Seams a bit rushed. Is this good news that Nintendo is pushing third party support? Or a act of desperation. It's hard to ignore many of these games are getting Metacritic scores of around the 70s. The big draws to the switch right now are BOTW and MC8 Deluxe. These games won't hold out forever though. Even though "Splatoon 2" (Shoulda been called Spla2n. [Rimshot]) and "Super Mario Odyssey" are waiting in the wings 3rd party support is a mist for the Switch's success to last. What do you think of Nintendo's attempt to get better 3rd part support?

Splatwon* or Splatwoon* would have been better puny names. xD

Back on topic, it's no surprise that the Switch's release was rushed.
Just look at the system itself, what else is there right now in terms of original content exclusive to the console?
Both Zelda and MK8 do not count since they are ports of the Wii U versions, and the console itself lacks a lot of system features, like a proper browser and Virtual Console.

The system was rushed, and it's no surprise the 3rd party devs were asked to rush the releases as well.

MC8 Deluxe? Mario Cart 8 Deluxe?
Donkey Kong should not be the only one to ride carts.

Threads like these prove that nintendo just can't do anything right. If they focus on their own franchises, they're boo-ed for abandoning 3rd party developers. Now that they're asking others to release games for their platform, it's not good either. Of course it'd be better if all the AAA-titles of the last year (and all upcoming) would be released without flaws tomorrow on the switch, but how about being realistic?

So, erm...is 70 and below the new category of "worst games ever!!!!" ?
