My Switch with Firmware 9.0.1 and is freezing randomly during games and only a full reset can restart it. Sometimes it happens several times in succession during the first minute of gameplay. Then I can play for several hours without problems. Only thing that is consistent: It happens only with demanding games. Never freezes during indie games with pixel graphics. One interesting case is Fire Emblem Three Houses. The Switch only freezes during the "Exploration" phase where the player character is able to run around in 3D. It never freezes during the low rez "battle" phase.
Any idea? At first I was thinking about an overheating problem, but the switch is freezing after random amounts of time.
Broken SD card reader? But it never froze during emuMMC in the main menu or indie games.
Faulty RAM?
