amiibo Compatibility: Players can choose supported amiibo figures to be partners in online doubles matches, or players can enlist them to battle strong computer-controlled opponents in the offline Knockout Challenge mode. The more matches an amiibo plays, the more experience and skill it will gain. Currently available compatible amiibo include Mario, Luigi, Peach, Bowser, Yoshi, Yarn Yoshis, Rosalina, Wario, Toad and Donkey Kong.

New Moves: On top of standard shots like topspin, lobs and slices, the new Ultra Smash move sees characters leap high into the air and smash the ball down to devastating effect. Colorful Chance Areas occasionally appear to help players unleash super-strong smash or bamboozling slices to flummox adversaries on the other side of the net.

    Game-Play Modes:
    • Knockout Challenge: Tense tiebreak matches against increasingly difficult computer-controlled opponents await in this single-player mode. If the going gets too tough, players can call in a compatible amiibo as a doubles partner.
    • Mega Battle: After grabbing a Mega Mushroom, characters grow to gigantic proportions and can dominate the court with their increased power and range.
    • Classic Tennis: For those who prefer their tennis a little more traditional, Classic Tennis offers two variations: Standard mode features Chance Shots and Jump Shots but no Mega Mushrooms, while Simple puts competitors on the court with nothing but the net and the ball.
    • Online Multiplayer: Go up against adversaries from around the world in competitive ranked play in either Mega Battle or Classic Tennis modes, or quickly jump into more casual matches. Two players* on the same console can team up to take on all comers, or a supported amiibo can join as a doubles partner on the online courts.
Multiple Controller Options: Players can choose their favorite control option, as the game supports the Wii U GamePad, Wii Remote, Wii U Pro Controller and Classic Controller Pro options.

Well I have real friend and we will have a lot of fun with this game in my house. Of course, if you only have online friends this is not for you.

And again no RPG Mode -.-V
I really loved the GBA Mario Tennis because of the RPG Mode but all the other Mario Tennis versions were not that good ...

Kinda stupid to have a tennis game, on a Nintendo console with NO motion controls. It's fucking Splatoon all over again.

Yeah, it would be terrible for this game to flop as hard as Splatoon did... Oh wait.

But really, I think the idea is that if you want a simple tennis game with motion controls, play Wii Sports [Club]. For the most part, people are tired of motion controls.

YOU are tired of motion controls, not everyone. There are many of us who still enjoy them. Deal, it's not going away.

im preety sure it is going away lol most wiiu games dont give a crap about wiimote and dont even support it, only Classic controller if they do most of the time anyway and considering the NX will again feature a controller like the wiiu gamepad developers wont develop motion controll games where people need to buy a totaly new and noone default console controler ages old to play it.

I was sure there would be more items. Anyway, at least it has online and not region lock. Nintendo pretty inconsistent sometimes.

For a small monthly fee i will be your friend and even pretend to be your girlfriend, if your mom calls. Punching myself in the nuts so that i sound more girlish, costs extra tho. :tpi:

Heh, if the price ain't too high, I might get it. I like the Mario tennis series, and online multiplayer doesn't sound too bad, if it isn't a lag fest...

Too bad for you, I'm full of friends! There's me, I, myself, that other me in the corner, the me that's always crying, the me that just wanna hangs himself...
    Warning: Spoilers inside!

No need to act defensive or make assumptions/exaggerations. I'm fine with motion controls. But generally speaking, the gimmick has passed.
