It say "will", not "may". This doesn't look like the usual scare to me, and I don't think it was in older updates.

It doesn't make remote bricking any less illegal, it's probably poor wording. That, and where'd you get that? No photo? No screenshot? :)

Fearmongering and poppycock - no "Nintendo" bricking is going to happen. ;)

probably to cover their arses against people complaining about brick code (aka dont cry to us with your bootrom error)

and the last bit is to cover themselves if people buy games that require updates but dont want to install.......but that has always been the case anyway

Well, they're not really lying, with every 3DS cart now allowing for the newer games having a lit fuse for bricking the 3DS.
Nintendo was the big winner indeed. Hopefully they remove the region lock now :P

What system update is this? Because we know everything is still working fine on 7.1.0-15.

Dude, the EULA always said "Will" with the 3DS. Nothing new here.
I don't even care. Let Nintendo brick people's systems. Let's see how deep of a hole Nintendo can dig!

First Gateway brick code, now Nintendo 3DS brick code, can we ever trust Nintendo again?

It's not illegal- the "I accept" is legally binding and you're only supposed to click it if you're over 18.
By the way, I'm not trolling. I am new, but I joined because it seemed like nobody else was noticing this.

Last I checked, it's not as simple as "Take screenshot" for the 3DS.

    Earth?
Contracts are not above the law. Also, Nintendo has been saying that for awhile now, just look at the back of a case for a game for 3ds.

This guy said he read this from his 3DS. Kinda hard to copy and paste from a 3DS. Don't forget "unlayable."
