If I were you, I won't take anything coming from that site seriously, they are only propagating the rumor that the recent announce about closing the data upload feature for SSBB has something to do with COmex hack,
Don't worry, this does not fix the hack in any ways, since it does not use the online upload feature
The bug used by the hack is NOT fixable by nintendo, it's IN the game... forever
Still funny how people with limited understanding are always the first to spread rumors & unverified theories
Yeah only rumours. It doesn´t make sense that this have something to do with the new exploit because even if they close the online service you can still use the exploit.
Haha, Nintendo finally gonna make patches for their games now? xD
The thing is they can´t unless they produce new Discs like what they done with Zelda
I think they are closing the service either to punish us or because they are afraid of people sending the hack to others?
On the bright side, maybe brawl will lag less now? And I know that disabling the online features does not break the hack, everything I have read from that site hasn't lied to me yet, so I guess wait and see.
By the way, if you read more closely, in the title it says "If it is true, it is not looking good"
IF IT IS TRUE.
It is just something to talk about and to see if anyone has any further info on this.
No, there are closing the service because hosting content online cost MONEY
They don't care about punishing anybody (lol) and the exploit is in the editor, not in content you download
I find it intresting that they are able to respond to a hack that hasnt been released yet anyway.
Not sure what Nintendo are doing, removing parts of a game that people have paid their hard earned cash on. Thats the real story here (if its true at all) in my opinion.
It would make sense if it wasnt a popular game, but i get the impression that even tho i dont like it, theres lots of folks playing it.
I just looked at the source of the information. It doesnt mention the hack at all, just that nintendo are removing some of the online service.
Maybe we should just rename this site GBA-Specultation.
not until nintendo really does that and we start hearing noobs whine then thats true
otherwise, i will just treat it as rumour
the exploit is in the game stopping the service would be pretty stupid too im already thinking about trading my wii in for an xbox after there e3 presentation .They should just abandon the wii and make a new console
lol I wouldnt get too excited about "project natal" until its been released. Sure it has some impressive video's, but im not convinced its going to be as seamless as their making out.
Just remember how the wiimote didnt quite live up to expectation & how long its taken for the motion plus to come out to sort out its bugs(if it does sort out the bugs, not just introduce more).
Dont get me wrong, xbox's are cool enough & if natal works out it would be cool, but in my mind the 360 is just a little too long in the tooth (thats why i sold mine).
I seem to remember receiving the message on my Wii message board that the service would be discontinued before the Brawl hack was even announced.
I don't see how the ending of the service is a response to the hack if the ending of the service was announced before the hack.
"As of June 30th, 2009, the current service that accepts user-generated snapshots, stage designs, and replay data will no longer be available. Please note, however, that we will continue to distribute such data after that date."
Also as many have said, it isn't the downloaded data that makes the hack work.
Soo...like a couple of bitches, Nintendo are taking away something from a game I payed for. This is worse than DLC.
I doubt this is true but you never know
I can't wait to see you playing like this
I hope you learned your lesson.
Nothing is going to happen, the entire new is only a rumour, and they maybe realized that free servers for SSBB on-line fights was a mistake and then they maybe start to charge, that's all...!!
Link from the official website :S
EDIT : link from us version
btw its definitly true
nintendo's pants got wet, lol
