Nintendo pulls ahead of Sony!

Nintendo has more money than Sony now

Now, for Nintendo's two video game systems DS and Wii, owners have the ability to download their games, and play them for free (pirating) for both systems and homebrew on the DS.

On the other hand, for Sony's two video game systems PSP and PS3, only the PSP can play pirated games and homebrew. And that is very limited. On the PS3, no one can play backups as of yet, so there are 0% people pirating PS3 software.

If you can have people pirating the two biggest part of your business (DS and Wii / games attribute for most, if not all of Nintendo's sales) and can pull ahead of Sony, who has only one of two systems being pirated, and makes a shtload of home electronics, then that shows how pirates have a small impact on the company...

If this is all true, then why do movie people (forgot company names, i think MPCAA and RCIAA, but im fairly sure that's wrong) complain so much about piracy? Even corn farmers complain about piracy: http://www.publicknowledge.org/node/1030 They say that corn farmers suffer from pirates because less people go to the movies as a consquence, and less people buy popcorn as a consequence... maybe its because movie theaters have lousy popcorn that gives me diarrehea!! >: O

I'm sorry, you put me in front of a computer, and whatever pops up in my head ends up being typed into the keyboard... >.< But I guess I do support the corn farmers... I always buy popcorn thinking 'This time, it'll be different.' And then right when the movie gets good, I run my ass to the bathrooms kicking and screaming all the way to the stall because another movie just let out and the bathrooms have damn lines. I wish some day i would get the sense to just GET SOMETHING DIFFERENT!

Not even TV's anymore I reckon. Toshiba and Hitachi are controlling the market even more. Sony are doing quite well on their mobile phones though. Cameras maybe, MP3 players not anymore.

How? That's makes no sence^ You Ninty Fanboys suck! Sony > Nintendo in GENERAL, Nintendo > Sony in CONSOLE GAMES. Sony stuff is ALWAYS more powerful than nintendo stuff, and that's why it's more expensive. Nintendo games get boring fast

Sony's 3rd Party Game makers have excellent games =D

The console exclusives is what made the ps2
devil may cry, final fantasy, metal gear solid
Its a shame though that because of rising costs of making new games, prices literally skyrocket to the point where its almost impossible to keep a game to a console exclusively.
I think this generation marks the last of console exclusives

Last generation ps2 had many console exclusives but this generation most of them have moved over to x360

The 360 is practically the same as the PS3 except without a Blu-ray drive and some other oddities.

I wouldnt call them oddities, i havent kept tabs on the gaming industry, especially the new generation but i believe that sony will make it somehow work for them.
The emotion engine was supposedly a waste in the ps2, but who wasnt awed when they watched the FMV's on FFX
I think theyre just gonna use the extra space that the bluray has to add in extra content

well lg is really good also.
and canon is much better for a camera than sony
sanyo and motorola are much better than sony for cell phones

Sony erricsons are the best phones out there, I love them
Especially the W series
I got a W810 myself, Cant remember the last time i was satisfied with a phone like this...YES I DO, it was when i had my W800(got mugged for it sadly)

Everybody around here, London, has a Sony Erricon and they're pretty big through out European market. I prefer Nokias though, the N series rox my sox. N95 is the sexiest thing around.

True say with the LG and TVs.

Just using Blu-ray discs jacks up the price of a game but by adding extra content will blow it out of proportion or they will just settle on making a loss on that/those games. It all really depends. If Sony sold the Blu-ray drive as an addon like the 360 and the HD-DVD drive then the PS3 will be selling much much more because it would cost £100-200 less and will be similar to the 360s price, maybe a little bit more.
