The NGC's controller's layout worked incredibly well for games that were designed with it in mind. Third-party games, games from other systems, and anything that might have you using three buttons almost at once didn't really work all that well. It's not a bad design, but it's not that flexible. I think the diamond configuration is here to stay. At this point, it's pretty much become the standard.

Though, if Smash stays as competitively popular as it is, I'm sure you'll have a NGC controller like option on just about every console Nintendo puts out in the future.

The face buttons of the gcn were ok but that's about it. The dpad was terrible. Utterly shit. Hard plastic that doesn't feel comfortable at all. And the c stick needs changing to a normal stick. Z button isn't great and having no left Z is pretty short sighted.

Keep the face buttons, but for the love of God, use 2 different colours for the X and Y buttons. That was annoying too.

I would have been OK with a smaller top screen if it meant retaining GBA compatibility.

Not me, thanks to Ninjhax and Pasta, I have all my favorite GBA games playable at full speeds and no issues on my New 3DS XL via injected VC titles. It's amazing with the benefit of a much larger screen at that.

If your throat closes, putting oxygen in your mouth will not solve anything - as you will be introducing oxygen prior to the area of obstruction

You either need to be intubated to bypass obstruction or create a stoma inferior to the the area of obstruction to survive
