Nintendo of Japan introduce two new DS colours

Metallic Rose and Gloss Silver









Nintendo of Japan have announced that the DS is to become available in two new colours - Metallic Rose and Gloss Silver. This is just a cosmetic change, and nothing else has been altered.

There are so many other colors they could have for the DS Lite...but they decide to give white and pink a metallic makeover. This is so weak. I'd like to see a blue or lime green....but these are OK, I guess. I wouldn't buy either of them.

transparent blue would be cool, always is cool on a nintendo handheld anyway. actually i take that back the silver looks less gay than the white one that's out now and that rose one....still looks....fehhh

Wow, I'm all for metallics

Metallic pink looks much better than that toxic pink shade they sell now. Not too sure about Gloss silver though, without a metallic finish surely that'll just look grey?

Silver makes it look too much like the DS Phat imo. But at least they are getting some new colors, maybe now the US can get the Navy/Ice Blue ones? I've been holding off on getting a lite since I don't like any of the current color choices very much and hoping for something new.

that isn't the same as original DS silver, that one was flat silver this one is gloss. I'm guessing they used silver plastic (one would only hope) When nintendo paints stuff, that is just ignorant. It rubs off over time. One can make silver plastic, it isn't expensive.

I am with Sick Wario acid green and I think a bit of blue would be nice.

The new colors I dislike the same ones with a silver tint blah!

Maybe I'm just a classic black and white person... But these colour choices are all a bit.. Bleh. Guess they're good for the kiddies. I'd rather just get a coloured case or something.
