Ok we all know about the ds and the dsi.
Its does not have enough power for things that people really want like looking movies good web browser and more things.
But is it nintendo or is it the buyers fault that the consoles arent powerfull
Is the problem that nintendo doesnt have a good eye for good hardware?
Or is it the consumers like now in the netherlands a dsi is around €160-€170
Is nintendo looking at the consumers what we can afford for a gaming system €160.

If consumers can afford only €150 for a handheld is nintendo than making a right price handheld

Or can nintendo get some more powerfull hardware for the same price?

personally I think nintendo could make a much better handheld, with the DSi taking out the GBA slot was in my opinian a bad move I love playing my old GBA games on my DSL but I'd also like to upgrade to a DSi for the DSi games and camera e.t.c but I'd also like to use a decent browser and various other things but tbh neither DSL or DSi is up to scratch. but at the same time I don't want to be paying the same price a a next gen console for a handheld that in my opinian is not right and way too overpriced.

i want it to be 200-250 but maybe around twice of what the ds can, like the psp i mean nintendo couldn't just go around selling the same generation over and over again ds -dsl- dsi -STOP make a new one, it should have psp like capability or something better than now

people buy the DS for the games, not for watching movies/playing music/internet browsing... these are just extra features after all...

Next generation I'll stick with Sony. If they make Dynasty Warriors, Jak and Daxter, and Ratchet and Clank games for the next generation of handheld games, I'm sold. Hell I'm even considering getting a PSP nowadays, although I don't know how easy it is to softmod so you can play PS1 and PSP backups.

$0, because frankly I'm done with Nintendo handhelds.

I'm done with handhelds in general though. I'm pretty sure my PSP is going to be my last handheld.

I'd pay any price as long as it's worth it.
Yes I do want a video player, web browser, etc. They have no excuse to not include those things anymore.

It's fairly easy to softmod a PSP and after you've done it once its a cake walk after that, playing PS1 games on it is also real easy just stick popsloader on psp, convert the PS1 game to an EBOOT and play.

First of all, the screen is 3". I think some of the games that Nintendo has released that they THINK are realistic on a 3" screen is dumb thinking.

I have zero desire to watch video on a 3" screen, and hell I think a 17" monitor is too small for web browsing (I am using a 22" wide screen by the way).

Nintendo should maybe consider a full increase in size to maybe a 5" screen and with the size increase, maybe hide a genuine hard drive and possibly then it might matter if it does more than play games.

When they marketed the thing as being smaller than the DSl (the DSi that is) my only thoughts were 'why?' I didn't need it smaller, I'd like it bigger.

The camera as neat as it is, is not enough reason to replace a functioning DSl. The SD slot is neat, but, most of what I would the SD slot for, non gaming data, is unfortunately unrealistic on a 3" screen.

If I had 300 unneeded bucks in my pocket, I'd likely go looking for the remainder to buy a micro laptop. At least they are big enough to do all the non game things and so what if I can't cram it in a pocket.

Now this, http://www.eddiewong.net/2009/01/08/sony-v...ype-p-notebook/ is what a computer in a pocket looks like. Pity about the price tag though.
And this is what we adults actually want for non gaming, http://www.amazon.com/Kindle-DX-Amazons-Wi...0/ref=kin2w_ddp Maybe someone needs to tell Nintendo.

so people think graphics is more important than game-play?

no graphics aren't but they do make the game better so when a console can have better graphics WE WANT IT TO!

Thing is, if the next Nintendo handheld is that powerful all the games are going to have boring identikit graphics. I like the fact there's still a console where games are made with cool pixel art.

It depends entirely on what kind of features it has. For example, the PSP Go costs a lot, but the only "new" (but not even evolutionary) feature is the built-in memory. All the other stuff is just gimmicky. I would definitely not pay more than a normal PSP, even if it is their "next" handheld. The DSi, on the other hand, has new features that the original DS could NEVER have. That makes it unique enough to be worth more.
