I just looked up Nintendo on Wikipedia....

IT WAS FOUNDED IN FUCKING 1889!

Did anyone else know this? We're you all keeping me in the dark? Is this some kind of conspiracy?

    Look for yarself:

Hah! Awesome, they used to make playing cards.

    That doesn't sound very Nintendo-ish, though :/.

Even without looking at the Wiki site, I know the history of Ninty...

They started out making Majong tiles, then playing cards, then board games, then 100 years later, GOD... errr... Miyamoto-san created Donkey Kong, and the rest is history my friends...

and to Juggernaut911, yes, Nintendo made the first Pokemon cards in 1894... it was on their 5th year, and Pokemon has been going strong ever since!

That's how they managed to get the ball rolling on video games again. With their experience in making cards and toys and such, they knew the Famicom would sell better if marketed as a toy. Without that knowledge, who knows what video games would be like today? Though I thought it was 1886?

Yes I knew that, I don't remember where or when did I learn it, it's just some knowledge that I had for many years now.
