Nintendo E3 - It's not just Zelda anymore!

Nintendo recently made a statement saying Zelda would be the only game in the treehouse and on the play floor. While it is not confirmed any other game will be on the play floor it seems like they have taken back what they have originally planned. Here is what the press statement said:

Nintendo heads to E3 once again and brings the coverage directly to you with a two-day program from Nintendo Treehouse: Live at E3! Tune in starting at 9 a.m. PT on June 14 for a day of live-streaming gameplay focused on The Legend of Zelda for Wii U and first live gameplay of Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon that kicks off the program!

Day 2 of Nintendo Treehouse: Live at E3 will showcase upcoming releases for Wii U and Nintendo 3DS, including Monster Hunter Generations, Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past and Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE! Day 2 will start with a special Pokémon GO developer Q&A at 10 a.m. PT on June 15

Erm...including last year? They started with "we're not going to talk about the NX this year", and things just went downhill from there. Now the other shows weren't much better, but I almost literally fell asleep during nintendo's presentation (afterwards, I thought I'd slept through the metroid announcement. But it was worse...)

The problem with last year's E3 was that they were very hush hush about it which made everyone's expectations far too high. Nintendo's E3 might not sound exciting but at least they're not going for the teasing route which results in shattered hopes. I would be more worried if they did this again next year.

They did not take anything back. They are fulfilling what they said back in late April.

"E3: Nintendo changes its approach to the show every year. This June, Nintendo will focus its attentions on the upcoming game in The Legend of Zelda series. The Wii U version of the game will be playable for the first time on the E3 show floor, and it will be the only playable game Nintendo presents at the show, in order to provide attendees a complete immersion.
