Yet another busy week! A nice well rounded mix of game genres.

Read to know when a game could be dumped:
These dates are what retailers say is out unless stated otherwise, sometimes they make dates up for pre-ordering purposes. These dates could also be "shipping dates" which usually means that that's the date when games get shipped to stores so a game could either be in stores on that day or after. Some games may get delayed some others not listed may appear but at the moment of posting these are correct. Also just because a game is released in stores it doesn't mean that they'll appear on our internets but NA titles usually appear on our 'nets Wednesday night UK time. I love you like a something loves something.

Already a well rated game and its yet to be released!

Robocalypse is an innovative new real-time strategy game developed specifically for the Nintendo DS. Set in a world of wise-cracking, battling robots, Robocalypse offers madcap weaponry and uproarious destruction, all embedded in a deep strategy war game. Up to 4 players can compete head to head via WI-Fi in multiplayer, or lead your army to victory in the hilarious single player story mode campaign, penned by Jay Lender (SpongeBob Squarepants) and Micah Wright.

So what we got is an old school PC style, humourous RTS! I've been waiting a long time for one of these to hit my DS and if the reviews are right, this'll be the game for me! Still part of me wishes that this was released next year at a quieter time, I get a feeling that this game will be overlooked.

Hey, we're still waiting for Metal Gear 1 GBA! Hands up who finished the Japanese version really quickly and was disapointed at how easy it was?

Six of the finest soldiers alive set out once again to brave a hellstorm of bullets in the seventh entry of Metal Slug, the popular run-and-gun videogame franchise! The story centres on the Peregrine Falcon Strike Force and the SPARROWS as they search once more for General Morden and his army. Their mission is to catch General Morden and stop his plans for attempting another coup d'état on the government. But as soon as Morden was defeated and failed, a strange army from the future came to his aid and strengthened his army. Now they must face Morden once again with his strengthened army and this time, put a stop to his plans once and for all.

The game still gets a recommended as well...its still good. Fans of the series though may find it a tad boring and easy. They may also find it that its pretty much the same old game & kinda lacking, a lot of us do wish that this was Metal Slug 3rd Mission instead but regardless of that, people new to the series will enjoy long as they like run & gun games.

Region North America Genre: Dungeon Crawler/Farm Sim
Developer: Neverland Publisher: Natsume

My god I hope this isn't as buggy as the last game which I did really like and love but the bugs made me stop playing it.

Rune Factory 2 is set several years after the first game. The evil Sechs Empire has been defeated, and the Kingdom of Norad is once again at peace. Things may not stay that way for long, however, as dark premonitions foretell of dangers to come. It's up to player to uncover the source of these premonitions and bring peace to the kingdom once more.

In a first for the Rune Factory series, the story of Rune Factory 2 is multi-generational. Players begin the game as Kyle, a strange man who comes to Alvarna Village. Eventually, players will take on the role of Kyle's child, opening up a whole new adventure. It's an innovative feature that allows players to follow the story of their family and the townsfolk over two generations! Over the course of the story, players will build and develop a farm, befriend townspeople, raise monsters, take on quests, and find a wife. Rune Factory 2 offers innovative Touch Screen controls, easy-to-use menus, and an all-new compelling storyline.

To be honest I pondered sticking a approval sign on this, but its better than most games released so I stuck one on. The multi-generational should hopefully make this game better than just something that is more of the same game. I was hoping for maybe a different setting and look but this is a Harvest Moon spin off remember. Maybe the Wii game will offer something new for those who might wanna miss this.

Region North America Genre: FPS
Developer: Fall Line Studio Publisher: Disney Interactive Studios

Another rhythm game for the DS!! Come one Nintendo give us Band Bros already, that's the only one I want! Oh and the Tengoku one too.

Ultimate Band for Nintendo DS is a rhythm-based music game with a built-in recording studio. Players can jam to current and classic songs using the drums, lead guitar, bass guitar, or rhythm guitar. Players can also create their own original songs using the DS touchscreen and stylus to lay down tracks for each instrument and apply creative mixing effects. Ultimate Band for Nintendo DS also includes DGamer, the first-of-its-kind online community exclusively for Disney gamers. Customize unique 3-D avatars, create a persistent profile, earn in-game honors, unlock exclusive Disney content and chat with other gamers via the Nintendo Wi-Fi connection.

Ok this is from the same people who did Hannah Montana and despite the shitness of the music on that, its wasn't too bad a game. The recording studio aspect does sound handy and previews of it have been positive.

Like all music games there are bad songs but there are some very good songs too. The good is by Pixies, Weezer, Who, Blondie, Raconteurs, The White Stripes and then there are real bad stuff by Avril Latrine, Maroon 5 & Jonas Brothers. Five of these will be exclusive to the DS version. Sadly this is yet another game which does not feature the original tracks, just covers. This is to censor the original tracks for kids and to allow both male and female vocalists...even though the DS version doesn't let you sing! To me the covers are because Disney are keeping costs down. Also I've heard the games version of "My Generation" and it sounds like fucking McFly!! Don't fucking WANT DON'T FUCKING WANT!! FOR FUCK SAKE DISNEY NOOOOOOOOO!!! Haven't you done enough with insulting black people in your films? What about murdering all of those Lemmings huh? BASTARDS! I dread to hear what Debaser sounds like. There is no DS footage just Wii but I won't post that link as it hurts the ears.

Region North America Genre: Action Adventure
Developer: Crystal Dynamics Publisher: Eidos Interactive

Tired DS cash in or quality action game?

For generations, stories have been told of the fearsome weapon of Thor, the Norse god of thunder. Legend holds that Thor’s hammer had the power to smash mountains into valleys and to destroy even the gods. For more than a thousand years it has existed only as a myth...until now.

In an ancient ruin on the floor of the Mediterranean Sea, Lara Croft uncovers proof of the Norse underworld and the mythical hammer. As she attempts to unravel the secrets behind these myths, Lara’s perilous journey leads her toward a forgotten power that, if unleashed, could lay waste to all civilization.

This game does look like it has had a lot more effort than the last one that hit the DS, but still its kinda irritating that they still haven't decided that the DS is good enough for a proper exclusive DS game. Both the GBC & GBA have had all new games not related to the console games so why not DS? How about giving us DS owners some respect and even making a 3D game?

Region North America Genre: Skating & Painting
Developer: Creat Studio Publisher: Activision Blizzard

Hey a new Tony Hawk DS game! Hey it doesn't seem like anyone cares this time...anything to do with this motion thing or is it because Skate It looks so much better?

An exclusive iteration of the renown Tony Hawk's Pro Skater franchise designed for the DS, this 2-in-1 title uses a brand new motion-sensing accessory to control the game, and also packs in a bonus painting mode! In Tony Hawk's Motion players can twist, tilt and turn through numerous skateboarding sessions and for the first time in franchise history, the game brings snowboarding to its line-up adding to the more than 20 diverse mini-challenges available including new ones like Rail Hopper and Slalom and familiar ones like Hawk-Man and High Score.

Once players finish grinding through locales like Tokyo, Dubai, Vermont and the Alps, they can switch gears and dip into the action-oriented puzzler Hue Pixel Painter. Uncovering sources of paint below the ground’s surface, players take Hue through various landscapes bringing colour back to a dreary environment and defending against the Drabs who have set out to leave the world grey and bland.

To be honest motion control doesn't really sit well with me on a handheld, this is due having to move the DS about and then at times not be able to actually see what is on the screen. Now Kirby Tilt N Tumble on GBC was a great game but I still don't see how motion control can improve a DS Tony Hawk game. Sounds like sales aren't doing to well and they needed a gimmicky add on to counter the pirates, like with GH. As for the painter, kinda sounds alright I guess, in fact I'm more interested in that than the skater.

Can't say the first one set my world on fire but it was alright, though completely generic and devoid of ideas.

The Forbidden War Begins..In an age when a power called "magic" supports everyday life and civilization itself, peace is supported by the queen's knights and the Rave magic council. The Kingdom of Kalnava has a clandestine program that is researching an easier way to use magic. The story starts at the point when the Kingdom had just successfully completed their research into such a tool. Breaking a long-standing oath not to use magic in conflicts, the society of witches start a new war.

Expect more of the same but I guess some will want it. lol at the bad American voice work.

Some people loved the Skate on the 360, others didn't. I loved it, it was fresh and for me the controls made sense. This is the spin off & it looks mighty fine.

Skate It has Nintendo players riding with the skate pros, owning the best spots in San Vanelona and pulling off the sickest tricks using the popular FlickIt controls. The game unleashes the FlickIt revolution on to the Nintendo platforms, letting gamers use the Nintendo DS stylus to string together their best tricks for the ultimate skate line.

The game has online, single card and multi-card multiplayer modes so that's good. Previews have been very positive and its great to see EA give respect to the DS & Wii by putting effort into the games.

The developer of this have done the excellent Total Soccer series on GBC/GBA a swell as Fifa 06/07 both of which were very good and also the pretty good Need for Speed Carbon. They also did the terrible N-Gage game WWE Aftershock.

Region: Japan Genre: RPG Classic
Developer: TOSE/Square Enix Publisher: Square Enix

At first I couldn't care about this version, I can play the SNES one whenever I liked...and then SE added stuff to it!

When a newly developed teleportation device malfunctions at the Millennial Fair, young Crono must travel through time to rescue his misfortunate companion from an intricate web of past and present perils. The swashbuckling adventure that ensues soon unveils an evil force set to destroy the world, triggering Crono's race against time to change the course of history and bring about a brighter future.

Remastered exclusively for Nintendo DS, the beloved RPG features a brand new dungeon, all-new dual screen presentation, wireless play mode, and touch-screen functionality.

New to the DS version: Wireless play for 2-4 players, alternative ending, new dungeon, new translation (though close to the original) and three new areas.

This version will also include the cutscenes that were in the PSX version. Various people are still pissed that its not in 3D, well fuck 'em! What do they know? The art for this game is perfect and making it 3D would just make it worse. This is released in Northa America next week and also in Europe for the first time ever in any form early next year.

You people are aware that its the Japanese release of Chrono Trigger? The English one is out the week after.

Because the first was mediocre and I'm tired of these same old games that do nothing to the genre other than be yet another entry.
