Nintendo EU will be be streaming a Wii U preview at the same time Reggie will speak in NA. It will begin on 4 PM in the British timezone on Thursday.
That's exciting because I don't think they will stream the American one (correct me if I am wrong). All aboard the hype train!

    EDIT:
Okay, Reggie confirmed that they will live stream the event from NA:

    Here's link for the stream:

And there will also be a Japanese Wii U preview too and they confirmed that they will announce the price and release date in Japan

Seeing that it is already September, I think this is when they'll reveal the price.

About time, really. They had to reveal this sooner or later.

I highly doubt it'll be priced at $249. The gamepad itself has insane hardware (the gyroscope, accelerometer, camera, screen, rumble, etc) and that's aside from the actual Wii U itself.
    I expect $350 but would like $300.

Don't forget that it has it's own everything just like the system so it's like double everything.

I hope this means that Ninty will finally announce that the Wii U will be at the Eurogamer Expo. (Obviously not in the video, but through EG).

This. And I also think that it'll translate 1:10 into swedish currency. (That is 3500 SEK which is $530)

    and 1:1 to GBP. ($560)

Or $400 if it's $250 in US. lol

    But I'm estimating $250.

Only just realised that this is only two days a way now.

It's going to be tough for Nintendo, people seem to be wanting to only put down an unreasonably cheap amount for it. Even if it was graphics wise the same as the 360, that doesn't mean it should be as cheap as one! The tech used would be more advanced regardless and then there's the gamepad which isn't going to be of the same build quality as a £100 tablet!

Still I expect them to sell this quite near to a loss for each console. This'll be their first console to be sold where there isn't a huge amount of profit to be made off each console sold.

I am hoping to see something new for the Wii U that we haven't seen. Face it, we'll know the launch titles and everything Nintendo showed so far they have confirmed to have out before the end of the year...what about other stuff they have for 2013? How about showing that Retro Studios title that they had to pull from E3 at the last minute? While I'm hopeful, if nothing but a price, release date and what will be out around the time is said I won't be that butthurt.

It will be the time when I quit my job, but I'll watch the recorded stream later (it will be available on Nintendo website anyway).

BS. You can find cheap android devices containing all that crap minus the rumble. Nintendo can sale at a slight lose for the game pad.

Even if it does, it will be a very basic processor for sending the touch screen input to the console. It is just a ps3 controller with a touch screen and camera. Everything else you listed minus the camera and screen are already in the wii-mote plus and ps3 controller. Plus so many devices use these parts now that they are manufactured and sold on the cheap to devs, Nintendo made it clear several times the gamepad isn't a console and requires the Wii-U.

Don't forget that some games support off-screen play which can make you play the game on the tablet itself. Correct me if I am wrong though.
