The ARMS Smash thing is interesting, as they showed all of the characters but not which one it is. That makes me think maybe it's all of them, through alts or something like that.

I was kinda hoping for something new at the end rather than some more info on Pokémon DLC that we knew about, but w/e

Seems like an OK Direct in general, although there wasn't much for me.

Coronavirus definitely impacted Nintendo's marketing plans.

I didn't know about Bravely Default 2. at least I learned something :P
though, I don't like the hat guy, he already feel like a villain that will reveal himself at the end of the game. (squarenix, really? how many times you did that?)

I'm also wondering why they felt the need to show the end/after credit of xenoblade... it's like movie trailers when you see the end without knowing it, so annoying. they also quickly spoiled the story with one of their video.
The "new chapter" is only after you complete the game?
The shoulder map was originally included in the Wii version, but not completed, with no story, NPC or enemies, and no official way to reach it without cheats.

sometime I want to play that game again, I guess I'll do it on Switch.
I'm not liking their "new and easy to use" menu. but, oh, well, I'll get use to it.

It looks like mostly disappointed are people who plays only Nintendo titles. As I'm not a big fan of Nintendo first-party titles (only BoTW and Xenoblade 2 I appreciated), this Direct was very good. Borderlands, King's Bounty 2, X-COM 2, Burnout "Take me down to the Paradise City". Oh boy. Nostalgic.

Burnout hyped me up personally - just the way it was sneakily put into the end of Direct among other already known titles, and I was like, "Holy hell, is this Burnout for real?" :D

Disappointing. No Paper Mario announcement. Would love for the series to get back on track after the last two releases have been TERRIBLE. Also I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a Mario/Rabbids sequel announcement this year.

Surprised no announcement of some Gamecube ports either. By the way any chance Mass Effect comes to Switch? I've only played the first two.

I hoped for a quick teaser of next zelda.
I guess they will announce the date of a future Direct reveal long before it and not make it a surprise.

I would also love for a mass effect trilogy release (remaster, or even just identical). I played only the first one.
if it's on PS4 (or therefore PS5) I'm okay too.

Well congrats to all three people who wanted an ARMS character in Smash. You did it!

Would rather have burnout takedown or revenge (that would actually run good on the switch) rather than a 30fps downport of paradise tbh

...Honesty, I don't even logically understand why anyone assumed it's going to be a 30FPS downport - I mean, the original game ran in 60FPS a decade ago, so it's not like Switch cannot handle that or something.

We have seen time and time again about poor quality ports, rushed ports, ect, that have really poor performance.
Well thats some good news anyway, the graphics did take a hit though.

We also saw time and time again about impressive ports that pushed the platform to its limits and in rare cases even surpassed more powerful consoles in visual fidelity (Alien Isolation for example). It's a case by case thing, overall.

so this is what we were waiting for: another let down direct by nintendo...well, I expected nothing else. some of the shown stuff, should be in the indie direct. highlight: Panzer Dragoon out now

Switch is half way thru its lifespan and this is all what they have to show us for 2020. so sad
