Nintendo Thrills Pokémon Fans with New DS Limited-Edition Pokémon Pack

Anyone who loves Pokémon® knows a rare treasure when they see one. A treasure that is sure to be sought after is Nintendo’s new Nintendo DS™ Limited Edition Pokémon Pack, which includes a Pokémon-themed Nintendo DS game system and exclusive Pokémon premiums.

Available on Aug. 17, the Nintendo DS Limited Edition Pokémon Pack features a custom Onyx Nintendo DS emblazoned with images of Dialga and Palkia, two of the most legendary characters from the Pokémon Diamond and Pokémon Pearl games. The set also includes a never-before-released animated special – Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time and Darkness (based on the story of the two newest Pokémon DS titles) – plus a cool Dialga and Palkia carrying case, and collectible mini-poster.

The Nintendo DS Limited Edition Pokémon Pack will be available at a suggested retail price of $129.99.

I would much rather have eevee and its evolutions but I'm on old Red/Blue player.
If only it came with the game rather than just be a movie promotion.

My cousin would probly like it.

yeah too many limited editions
but y dont people take their ds lite to a painter(skinner) and get a custom skin for it and pay less than buying a new limited edition

Pay less than buying a limitied edition?
Considering all DS lites are a hundred thirty bucks your really not loosing any money.
Unless they are cheaper and I've been way out of the loop.

Identical, but it's MUCH cheaper: when it was in Japan's Pokemon Centre for a couple of weeks, it was about AU$400 online, now it's gone. Now, it's regular price with actual bonuses. I just hope it's got the amazing box that the Japanese version had.

Wasn't there already one like this when D/P came out? Or was it a different color?
That was for Japan only I think. This is new to me, but I won't get it because I have too many damn DS Lites already.

Limited Editions are usually considered to be cheaper since they come in bundles. But this depends on your idea of how much the extra goodies are worth. This is a particularly good deal in my opinion.

One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I wonder if I could recommend that to some emulation devs that perhaps the sound could use some smoothing out to simulate those old TVs
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way

  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
it says it only works for the original R4, R4i Gold (r4ids.cn), R4iDSN (r4idsn.com) and Acekard R.P.G.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    nvm it does support mine
