I own a CycloDS myself for my DS Lite, but since I bought my GF a Nintendo 3DS I am wondering which Flash Card would be most recommended to buy. I know there are a bunch already working for the new DS, but I'd like to hear all opinions.

Best Regards,

I would recommend Supercard DSTWO!
With the DSTWO U will be able to play DS Games + GBA Games + GB/GBC Games + Homebrews on your 3DS!

Thanks, I just checked up on the card and there seems to be a high price tag set on it (45 euro), minus the MicroSD card costs. Not that I mind though

as of course it'll be for my lovely girlfriend. I just need to be sure I buy the right stuff before it'll break on the Nintendo 3DS with firmware upgrades.

If u are looking for a cheaper flashcard to play DS games on the 3DS u can consider getting the Acekard2i
It is much more cheaper than DSTWO...the downside is that u won't be able to play GBA games on your 3DS.

What exactly are the differences between the Supercard DSTWO! and Acekard 2i?

I prefer to look deeply in the flash cards before I'm going to buy one. In features, homebrew, cheats, anti-piracy, etc. and most important, updates and also bypassing the firmwares.. eg.. so DS firmwares won't break the card.

Basically both Cards are well supported. Both can play DS ROMS & Homebrews. The difference is that the DSTWO allows GBA Emulation on slot1 + Real time save/guides/cheats

Wow, I havent been here in ages. I'm out of the loop...so cards like Acekard2i work on the new 3DS?
Are there any negatives to it? Such as crashing occasionally, etc?

No downside, the only thing is some carts (such as the Acekard2i) need to be flashed on another system (a DSPhat, Lite, DSi, DSiXL) before they can be used on a 3DS.
Also, some models of Acekard2i don't work (hw44 or something like that).

i have ordered DSTWO for my 3DS, but until card on a way, i could not contain oneself, i found and bought acekard 2i in my city with a minimum price markup.
acekard 2i awesome, friendly interface and menu, very fast working on 3DS, many nice skins and soft-reset.(AKAIO.1.8.6a)
As far as I know, acekard 2i has appreciable lower power consumption than DSTWO, my 3DS working ~4-4,5 hours with playing on acekard 2i.
When I get DSTWO, i will compare them. Probably because of embedded processor, working time on a single charge for DSTWO will differ in the smaller side.
PS:
- longer battery life, easy and fast nice interface, low price - I recommend to take acekard 2i.
- need GBA games and real-time saves - your choice DSTWO.
Has anyone compare 3DS working time with DSTWO and acekard 2i? sorr for lng, "en" is not my native language.

I just got a Supercard DSTWO and I heard rumors that it can brick my 3DS by burning the fuses, will it happen or is it just a rumor?

Is there a list of flashcards that work with the 3DS? I know DSTWO and Acekard work, but does DSONEi work too?

Don't really want to pay the extra $10 for something I'm not going to use.

Burning fuses?? Seems like a stretch. It's all myth at this point.

If you dont have a DSlite to flash the newest firmware ... which flashcard will be 3DS ready (or flashable) when you buy it?

I know the Acekard 2i most likely will not be 3ds ready when you buy ... unless the supplier will update the card themselves ...

The DSTwo is 3DS ready to play?

Cheers,

It depends where you buy from, some Acekard 2i's are already flashed to work on the 3DS, some will need to be flashed on an original DS, Lite, DSi or DSiXL. Same with the SuperCardDS2. The seller should state whether it needs to be flashed.
