All nopass devices are the same and are a copy of the original Datel media launcher card..
As azndragonguy115 said Datel was one of the last no pass devices to the market and they had the worse model once they did release. Their first model had no sleep mode and had problems working with some flashcarts. Now they have fixed the issue and the MMP is just like any other no pass.

No. Max Media Launcher was actually the first NoPass device on the market, and the cheapest (if bought on the "western" side of the World, of course).
It was then followed by SuperKey and, few days later, by PassCard3. Maybe they all copied Datel, maybe not. By the way, they were produced by the same fab, so they were exactly the same thing, but with a different label.
The "problem working with some flashcarts", was a cancer of every Device, still going on (DS-X vs M3).
There wasn't "sleep mode", just because they didn't short PIN 1 & 8 (or it was 9?) on the cartdridge, but was pretty simple to make it by yourself, even without opening the card.
PassCard3 & SuperKey did not have this problem because M3/G6 Team already knew that (it was a feature of the latest PassCard2, that not anybody knows).
Sorry for my ugly English...
Bye.

Companies don't share "stuff" unless they are somehow affiliated with each other. They copy each other all the time though.

No? What about the SuperKey and PassCard3 then? Hmm, M3 and SuperCard in bed!? What are we going to have next a SuperCard G6!

Seems to me like there are two ways this could have happened. Either GBAlpha (M3) designed and manufactured it (it couldnt be the other way around, since the board says "Passcard 3" on all version), they offered it as an OEM product (ie, they make it, but put the other company's name on it) and Romman (Supercard) paid them to produce it as the Superpass also... or some other unnamed company made it and offered it to both GBAlpha and Romman as an OEM product. I seriously doubt the two companies shared any technology.

The Ninjapass team's first products, the Ninjapass Jr. and Ninjapass DS Flash (IIRC, Ninjapass Media Launcher also), all had this little chip pushing out of it.

I'm looking foward to seeing how both this, and acekard do. Then I may buy a slot 1 card and use my G6 as a GBA/Ebook cart. It pretty much depends on download play working correctly for me.

i don't know about the chip sticking out. if you look at the reverse, it doesn't look like there's a chip at the spot that was outlined which could be sticking out. unless its covered by other stuff, but it looks to me like the chip is just in a different location, rather than right in the middle of the card.

I think he's just trying to say the chip looks like it's visible (due to a slight transparency), or something.. although he also said other NinjaPass products have a chip sticking out, and I see no such thing in those.

Maybe there's a bit of a language barrier..

From the main page at http://www.ninjapass.com/ you can't even see the chip (or whatever he's talking about) from the front.

Lol, there is no chip sticking out there from my POV. I think you have it in your mind as its going to be like that since you already want to bash the product. You are taking the patterns on the design and changing them to make them what you want in your head. There is nothing there except for a design element.

I don't see the chip as it looks like the pattern on the foil. Anyway I'll be getting mine soon and I'll let everyone know how it is and if the chip is sticking out. The DS-X has the same thing so its not that big of a deal anyway. Also the card reader comes with the product anyway so all you need to buy is a microSD & the NinjaPass X9 and you're set! Since the Acekard is only in Chinese and sold through yyjoy the X9 has become the new favorite for linkers.
