I wouldn't have one of these butt-fugly monstrosities if they were giving them away

There's more chance of me buying a PS2 than one of these

The Ninja DS has great compatability of roms , features a build in program which can connect to a server to get files , and has built in media servers.

It's the cheapest slot-1 device and its the only Slot-1 Device which takes SD cards , SD cards have a very low price and are Way cheaper than micro SD cards.

The Ninja DS has quality , and makes the cheapest slot-1 bundle if you compare the prices of buying a slot-1 Device with 1-GB memory.

SD memory goes up to 4 GB.

The only downside is the size of the ninja DS.

And for those saying the ninja DS is to expensive, its cheaper than a M3 and its way Cheaper than A DS-Extreme , which official price is 120 dollars

for that amound of money people can buy a Ninja DS with 2 GB of memory , and I can tell you , on my M3 I find 1 GB not enough memory to keep my files and I have to delete stuff I actually liked from my card just because there is new stuff, so 512 MB is nothing to me.

Buying A DS-Link might be a good option cause its only 50 bucks , but you will have to have a flashed DS or buy it bundled with a MK4 mini , which will make the price higher.

Hmm.. I like the idea, i don't like the price. But being the ONLY slot-1 solution with SD I LIKE IT! Now i won't have to swap around my 2 SD cards. (1 1GB, 1 2GB) Now I imagine them making a 3rd Slot1 solution, with an identical reason, and moving the SD card so it can be on top the DS sideways, parallel to the clam hinge. Dunno (and dun think) it'll work on the DSL, but it'll be the first NDS only product

I'd buy it, but like someone else in this thread, I'll wait for it to be in the bargain bin. When they finish all their features they want. IMO a supplier should not sell a product that doesn't do what they advertise.

--"Here's the newest OS, Longhorn. Its about $10000 and it does everything!"--- (Wait a second, it won't boot...)

That is my way of being sarcastic with Microsoft. I have nothing against them, i dont give a care about Vista, but i mean, they announce alot of things--I'll believe it when i see it.

Third time's the charm!
After months of people around here complaining that everything "sticks out", when I first saw the "tongue depressor" ninja, I had to laugh. "o that'll get a good reaction around here" I said to myself.

I guess this'll be a good option for all that have a bunch of SD cards. I think most people will either wait for the Pocket or buy a DSX though.
I think for those with a bunch of SD cards they are still better of with the M3 and get their GBA support or put em on ebay...get Micro SD cards and a m3 lite so they have a FLUSH removable media solution...this has nothing appealing to me....slot1 .....wow...I can now use my rumble pack....with the 3 games it supports....well I guess the moster off a dev kit makes it bigger so its harder to fall out of your pocket which I know I was worried about....

/me goes to buy one
/me cancels order
/me laughs a little inside

Seriously I know me and one of the ninja dudes just got into it...whatever the product makes no sense to me....we can't really argue over price cause different shops have way different prices but I do know that it hangs out like a sore thumb and even when I was toying with the original PassMe, Ez-Pass, and PassKey's I hated the hang over on the slot 1. I can confirm that there are many slot2 kits that sit flush and work close to perfectly so if your not going to provide a flush Slot 1 solution I wouln't even bother.

Well what you've said is incorrect, the DS-Link is a slot 1 device that is substantually cheaper than the NinjaDS, also it appears to have better compatability.
the cost of SD compared to Micro-SD in equivelent capacitys is less (by percentage) than the cost difference between the DS-Link and NinjaDS. So it wins there as well.

Yes you are correct about the need to flash the DS but for many that is not a problem, for others that does close to equal the cost of the two devices. If you add the cost of an MK4-Key it would about equal the price.

To the GBATemp reviewer: You should also test Pokemon Diamond with this thing. If only to give NinjaDS another big red 'failure' on it's score sheet.

And that last thing I said being accectly my point , the DS-Link doesn't have a build in pass feature , so you have to buy a MK4-Key which kinda makes the price go higher. than add up the price difference between a Micro SD card and a SD card :
Sandisk.com
A normal SD card kosts :
$54.99
A micro SD card kosts :
$64.99

I know you can get these cards cheaper at some place but this is an extra 10 bucks , and on other shops the contrast is even bigger.

The DS-Link needs software to convert roms , the Ninja DS has that build in , just drag and drop the files to your SD card.

From what I read in the Review , the Ninja DS had great compatability with roms and the staff always asks for people to send them a email so they know whats wrong , so they can start making an update.I believe the Ninja DS will be capable of some great things , I was Impressed with what I read in the review. The DS link doesn't support No Pass and the DS-X has limited memory , why hating on the size .
