An TV anime adaptation of NieR:Automata has been officially announced via a teaser trailer that premiered yesterday:

Not much is known about the project at this time but an official website and Twitter account was shared where more details will likely be shared at a later time.

Automata was my first entry into the NieR saga, and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I'm staying cautiously optimistic. There's a lot of things in that game that work because it's a game. I wonder if they'll adapt it well.

Seriously though, this will be promising to see in anime form as long as the animation is not cheaply done.
