Yeah the 360 is the one with the best games by far. Get it because it's cheaper than the PS3 and has higher quality games than the Wii (so far)


Mass Effect for 360 looks soo amazing. It recently got a 9.75/10 score from a very good review.

I can't praise the 360 enough, it's such an awesome gaming machine.

Nintendo has zelda and mario which are really good but you'll get bored quick after you finish them. The controls on Wii sound like a good idea but in most games they don't work out too well.

The red ring thing is fixed with the newer machines, just make sure you get a new one

Also there are some mature games on Wii like Metroid Prime 3, Resident Evil 4, Godfather, ... And soon Resident Evil: UC, No more heroes, ...

As you said, Wii + 360 is the way to go. You will have the best of both worlds.

I'd also recommend the 360 above everything else. If you're into 'hardcore' games and have a net connection you can use Live with then go for it without question

I think by kiddy he means really easy and not much depth. Yeah most games on Wii have been a bit like that.

IMO the Wii is worth having for smash bros, mario, metroid and mario kart. Couldn't care less about the motion sensing, I just want good nintendo games. There's a few other good sounding games coming out next year too. Grab the Wii if you like nintendo first party games, third party games are still a big problem on nintendo consoles

I've never played on the PS3, but I've heard how bad they are. The Wii needs good games and more online games. At the moment the 360 has the games and if you don't mod it you have a 3 year guarantee against the 3 red lights. The 360 looks amazing on a HDTV. I've been enjoying Project Gotham 4 and Halo 3 on it. You also have Xbox Live Arcade which doesn't have ports but games that are remade. Most you can play online and its also got an online scoreboard. Prince Of Persia has been the most impressive remade XBLA game I've played so far.

I paid about 550 bucks total for my 360 and extra periphrials, and yeah, that smarted a bit, but...

-A lot of the games I buy are used Original Xbox games for 7 bucks, and they're fun and look good.
-The demo download for most games allows me to check it before I chuck money at a flashy game that I won't play.
-The Live Arcade titles are really good, and it's fun to play Robotron and Defender and Frogger and Dig Dug in the living room without having to load a disc.
-Xbox Live should be the standard to which all systems aspire to. It's just so easy to get into an online match of anything.
-I'm a "Mac guy" and I'm gushing about a Microsoft product, that should tell you something right there!

i bought used gamecube and i have been buying used games too. and i bought that datel media launcher because i wanted to run emulators

just to play fucking super mario bros from my tv. it's like, i'm feeling bit like "oh fuck these new movie, oh it good. id still rather watch this old western i have seen thousand times" ... dunno. maybe i'm also getting old.

AFAIK the only price drop will be because they are bringing out that new 40GB system with no backwards compatability.
