Well that's quite pessimistic, also this is gonna become a bigger issue over time, there will be more and more unhackable switches and the hackable switches are gonna become rarer and rarer.

Sx clone mod chips will more than likely be available for all the newer models, so technically they arent unhackable.
Having a software mod though for those newer models(something that doesnt require soldering) is incredibly unlikely. Those are the optimistic odds aswell. The realistic odds are that your more likely to win 1st prize lotto.
Id still take an erista over the mariko regardless based on having access to ubuntu/lakka & android.

how did you find it? How does hwfly = core

I'm sure these would work with the OLED model but not a true next gen switch that would use a different SoC

my guess is they went with a really generic name to stay under the radar but hwfly is the clone for sx lite/core

you're just proving my point, there's no way for people to even try homebrew without buying another switch
But you are assuming people have a right to hack their Switch which they definitely do not. People should be lucky that a device is hackable even if its only an older version.

If you're bringing rights into it, could certainly argue the viewpoint that everyone should have the right to use the hardware they bought as they see fit, without artificial restrictions being imposed by the manufacturer, but that's a whole thing in itself

Just go on ebay and buy just a V1 tablet and do a motherboard swap with the V2 shell to get a "new" console.
Then sell the tablet as a used V2 tablet, may break even of make a small profit or small loss.
