New Zunes

Yeah, I tried out the iTunes on my cousin's PowerBook and I actually got no complaints with either of the iTunes installations. They both work great in my book. And my book is what counts...

And I tried the DEMO version of Microsoft Word on the PowerBook...reminds me of a joke someone posted a while back

...but, the Word for Mac did indeed suck pretty bad.

I went downstairs and got onto my cousin's Mac. iTunes looks like it does on Windows...and has all the functions, AFAIK.

I own the zune and an ipod mini. The zune controls are really easy to use and you can use it instantly. The ipod click wheel takes a little longer to learn, but its better. With the ipod you don't have to use itunes (I HATE IT), I use anapod instead. Its simple drag and drop. The zune software is worse than itunes. It would be better if it didn't have to sync everything.

I copy all my music from my external harddrive so when I start up the zune software, my external has to be on, or it'll wipe all the data. The same goes for if you delete a converted video off your harddrive, the zune will delete it off. I hope in the update they sort this out. If someone came out with software similar to anapod, the zune would be brilliant. The software lets the zune down big time.

Interface looks great -- hardware sucks.
Just IMO, and about the looks of it. Also, iTunes' only problem is lacking the option to extract files from iPod to PC... apart from that it's pretty good once you get to know it. Else, as stated by another member, you can use alternate soft.

Yeah the default setting on the Zune software are lacking with the sync mode on. Zune endless trying to sync everything - forget about actually trying to load up the Zune cause it'll spend hours trying to re-sync everytime you plug it in. The key is to shut off the auto sync'ing and then life is grand and no more sync hell.

iTunes is the reason why he WOULDN'T get an iPod, and why he'd rather get a Zune.

Ah, well, if shaunj66 got beef with the Apple iTunes software, he should not buy a Zune. There software is horrible compared to iTunes.

I personally love Microsoft with a passion, but I mean when you have THAT ,much money, you can make something that at least can look better than a iPod. For now, I'll be considering getting a iPhone over this.

i sold my ipod to get a zune (a device with an os that doesint remind me of the text based DOS)

when is the new firmware for old zunes coming out??!?
