    ok so i just received my new gecko and now i need to find out how to use it

    can someone tell me a good place to read up on how to use this thing

    i have installed the needed drivers (i think)

    Well what \are you looking to do with it? it can be used for a varity of debugging tasks.

    well to tell you the truth i got it to use on sneek but i cant figure out how to use it yet

    is there some program i need to run it from?

    Sneek doesn't require the Gecko. all you need for sneek is a hard drive or SD card.
    The USB gecko is meant for debugging of Wii homebrew and Games Not loading them. (It can load them too through Gecko OS but that's another story. here is a link to all the info on the adapter and it's uses.

    If your looking to debug sneek There is nothing you need to do on the wii side besides load into sneek. on the PC side you just have to use the right tools. the link above should be all you need to find everything. it's to the Gecko Website.

    hey giantpune

    i tried that program but it keeps saying

    GeckoReader by r-win

    This tool will read the data send by the USB Gecko device to your pc
    and show the output in this console window.

    Error occurred: The port 'COM-1' does not exist.
    Press any key to exit...

    how do i find out what port the gecko is on it will connect to wiird cmdline but not the gui

    all i want to do is just check the output of uneek when it starts

    please help me pune

    finally got it working had to change com port location working great now
