Title says it all, since I'm on the latest (5.5.1) it should be safe to disable DNS to download the update, and then reenable it immediately afterwards, right?
Never mind, I tested NNU patcher out, it let's you install game updates too. No need to disabled DNS.
Sorry for the pointless thread, mods feel free to close or delete. May be useful to keep it here in case someone has a similar question though, but in that case change Splatoon in the title to game.
