somone should just make a blank/hidden junk wad that takes up a shitload of space to save needing to fill it up with several large files.

This is a good idea KiiWii but do you think that if you could do it this way we can install this big dummy wad file into already bricked wii [IMG]
i think that will not work since this workaround will not work till we fill our bricked wii NAND first [IMG]

yea you are right man i think that people here will find a fast way to fill nand but what about changing Save Game ID as you said can you figure out how it'll work and how we can do it if we have a broken Wii console like in my case [IMG]

Well you can edit the iso to change the GAME ID and save game name i've done it before but i haven't tested it to this extent so its all done on computer! it could be possible! say alot of mysims kingdom ? 204 blocks x 5 = full nand?

ive got an idea about how to fill up the wii memory faster. i havent tried it, but i dont see why it wouldnt work. i guess it would require either a modchip or trucha in the system menu IOS.

since we can launch channels via homebrew, one could just make a dol that launches the shop channel. and put that into a ISO. and just auto boot that game. then once in there, you can fill up on any titles that you can already paid for and it will be free.

True but isn't the main point of this walkaround is to unbrick your system without any trucha on your wii, and also to everyone talking about chaning the game id to make double saves wouldn't that fakesign your disc?

Like Giantpune said, but: create this mega junk wad and swap it in to a autobooting game iso to install that wad rather than the regular channel it would normally install. for example mod the mariokart disk's files to install your custom junk channel wad of say 2100 blocks (almost guarantees filling up anyone's memory in one shot), instead of its standard 120 block (or however big it is) channel.

Dunno if this can be done, just thinking out loud.

Think about it like this, if you can already boot fakesigned disc then whats the point of this. this is only useful for people that can't

Those have no point i will explain why:

This workaround is for people who don't have bootmii/trucha which cannot boot trucha signed disks including with a modchip such as Wad manager and or HBC, Changing the games saves do not trucha it i have tested it before but do not know if it duplicates actual saves(this is why i need it tested)

I am sorry there isn't a option like the xbox360 where you can install wii games to the nand for faster loading [IMG] (That'd fix filling the nand fast issue) But i am looking for another workaround to get into Data Management without having to fill your nand just not having luck =/ any feedback yet about 003 error fixes with this? Btw the name of the workaround you currently have is SDDm [IMG]

Interesting. So if the NAND is full, you can get a wad-installing game to access the savefile management screen?

This could very well bypass the error 003.

Like SSBB, LEGO Indiana Jones 2's save file is a whopping 128 blocks.

As for doubling up with different region save files and wads, the region info on the disc is not encrypted, meaning you don't need trucha to change a disc's region information, so use the old regionfiii by syndicate to change the region of doubled-up import games to the region of your wii, and they should load.

There are (AFAIK) 3 versions of SSBB and 3 versions of LEGO indiana jones 2. (PAL, JAP, and USA)

So, somehow get all 6 games, use regionfrii to change region data to your wii's region, then make savefiles for all 6 of them!

    that'll take up 768 blocks!

Nice find. However, if I remember correctly, the signing bug is not required to make an autoboot disc for a game. Therefore, wouldn't it be easier to just place the Indiana Pwns save file on the Wii console, and create an autoboot disc of LEGO Indiana Jones in the event of this happening, or did they prevent this in the newer firmware updates? If it does work, I'm also assuming that you could just make an autoboot disc of Super Smash Brothers Brawl and run the Smash Stack. With the Smash Stack, I'm not even sure that any save file needs to be on the console.

Again, I don't follow this as much as I did before, so maybe I am wrong on this.

Pro Evolution Soccer 2010 is around 120+ blocks. Only found out because I got an error message when I first run it telling me I had insufficient blocks left and I had to delete some vc channels and old saves I had to make space for it.
