New to WiiU Hacking, seeking advice.

I am new to WiiU hacking and will hopefully be picking one up tomorrow.

One of my biggest concerns is bricking the console. Wherever I look it seems to happen to lots of people. Is there any advice on how to avoid bricking the console?

My end goal is to download and install Wii/U and GameCube games. (ISO?) What tools would I need to achieve this goal. Are there any guides to follow on how to do this?

I will be following this guide WiiU Hack , would this be the most current and proper guide to follow?

If you know what you are doing or can follow instructions well then you shouldn't be worried. The one I bought had CFW installed even though the listing never entioned it and didn't come with the SD Card that had the original hack while also having parental controls on it with a password.

I still was able to reset and rehack it. I followed the same guide except I had to do extra steps in getting into a locked system.

First, don't install homebrew forwarders to NAND, always install to USB. Second, don't install WADS made for Wii on vWii. Third, Don't mess with system files unless you know what you're doing. Fourth, always make NAND backups periodically. Other than that, it's almost impossible to brick.

You need UWUVCI and a way to dump your Wii/GameCube games, then setup your SD card for UWUVCI, then inject it and install it with WUP Installer GX2.

Most of these bricks are from CBHC. So the first thing to do is checking if the previous owner installed it and if so: Uninstall it.

Yes. NUSspli hast something like WUP Installer integrated through, so no need to install both tools.

How can I confirm if the WiiU is hack free? No CFW? So that I can proceed with following the guide.
