    I am new to this(ds stuff atleast) so i have some newbee q's........
    1.I am getting r4 ds, whats the typical price? i see about 40, so is that right?
    2.How easy is it to use r4 ds in comparison to m3 simply?
    i'll have more soon, so thanks for right now.

    3.Is it easy to use them?
    4.I dont want to patch or use emulators or anything like that,so can i just download a game then put it on the memory card, then plug it into r4 then the ds then play?

    im back for another series of qs,lol
    5.I can listen to music and playgames, but what else?
    6.what file type are the roms in?

    you can watch videos, read ebooks and listen to music using moonshell. Read comic books using comicbookDS

    roms are .nds files, you can just drop them onto the card or you can trim them to save a bit of space.

    7.how would i go about "trimming" them?

    the R4 team provide a tool that is used for trimming the roms, it cuts of the unused spaced at the end of the rom.

    You can download it from their site, however, some people have complained about the R4 tool, whereas i have had no problems. There are various threads concerning which is the best trimming tool to use, and there are a few alternatives i believe DS-X has one.

    9.do i have to have a specific firmware to use r4?
    10.can i play a rom on wifi?(ex, pokemon pearl)

    9. Yes, you have to use the software from R4. Go to their website.
    10. Yes, I believe most games work on WiFi, but not download play.

    I haven't heard of any games that didn't work on WiFi and most* games work on download play.

    11.with the firmware download, does it change the ds's firmware itself?
