Hacking New to the switch, what is .xci?

I bought a switch and the Xecuter hack is on the way. I bought a few games but also got an SD card. I noticed a few torrents around the net with .xci, is this a drive image of an online purchaced game or something? Can I put this on my SD card with the Xecuter boot and will it be seen as a game?

I have also need iso torrent and believe I read the Xecuter will play the ISO from the SD card.

XCI files are cart dumps that can be played with SX OS, yeah.

SX OS will read isos?! I'm pretty certain that's a big fat no. All the games I have downloaded have been in xci format.

XCI files are essentially a clone of the memory on game cartridges. They are equivalent to .3DS files that 3DS flashcarts read, or ISO/CSO files for PSP. SX OS only reads XCI files at the moment, so those are the games you'll want to download.
