Hacking New to R4DS and There's A Problem

Okay, so I got my R4DS yesterday, and successfully loaded the system software to it. I then, went ahead and added SNES emulator software (SNEmulDS.nds) into a foder labled SNES. I then added ROMs (mostly SMC file type). When I go to load the emulator I receive the following message:
"FS failure, continue anyway... rompath = /SNES/ No files found. Please put ROMs in /SNES/ directory of yourCF/SD Card."

If I am not mistaken, the emulator is having difficulty recognizing the ROM files, and I am wondering if I have the wrong kind of ROM file types on my card.

Any suggestions?

Patch the emulator with DLDI. There's a sticky on how to do that.
