New to ps4 .9.0

Hi all got a PS4 9.0 and am able to load fpkg etc but I keep getting notifications of a new update and am worried the kids will install it. What is the best way to block the updates from being downloaded

Block update servers in your router.

Cheers is there a up to date list. I've blocked sites I have found but it still happening after I deleted the update file

Find a site with a block update payload. Here is a list of several sites a couple of them should have it

You should only have to do this one time unless you format your entire PS4 or change internal hdds.

When I set up my PS4 Pro with 9.00, I used the DNS blocker that's on the PS4 Exploit Thread, and after running the exploit, I opened ps4xploit900.github.io/index.html to run the Update Blocker payload.

No problems since then.

Edit: Of course, do disable automatic updates via the settings, too.

I've actually been using more PRB than Karo to run the exploit, it has a better success rate, in my experience.

Maybe not every person would care about this but I stream my PS4 to my Switch and to my PC using a program called Chiaki. I believe this would block this. It's easier to just run the block update payload one time.

Another reason to keep internet on PS4 would be sending PKGs to the PS4 through PC remotely.

Stream PS4 games to a Switch? That honestly sounds pretty cool, especially if it's an OLED Switch.

I do have to agree I wouldn't fully block internet from my PS4, just block updates and whatever.

Yeah works for PS4 and PS5, unfortunately it's local only can't take the Switch out of town and do it or anything just on the same network.
