I'm not surprised this game will be on PS3, the PS4 won't sell well in Japan for at least 3-4 years since consoles are in decline there, but I am surprised it will be localized in the West and said announcement came very soon. As for the feedback part, I wonder if it will be Japan only or will there be some place for western fan feedback.

This time, Zestiria comes from the word "zest", meaning "passion" or "zeal". XD
Yes Gahars, your quality of puns has greatly diminished as of lately. Try again. :P

Don't blame me, blame the quality of the announcement. I can only work with what I've been given, and this one's really dragon me down. I can't help it if it's not best-tier-ya, know? Even if it Ails of... of...

My God, what have I become?

Thank god it's on PS3, I didn't want to have to buy a PS4 yet but a Tales game (or a Valkyria Chronicles...yeah right qq) are definite console sellers for me.

Also OP owes me some new shorts. I just ruined these.

Wait... I thought ps3 had 1080p. I'm pretty sure I checked that tab when picking screen resolution. I know that most games don't play in 1080p but I'm pretty sure some do.

Depends on the games. Games like Rayman Legends and Origins are 1080p.

Some games give up resolution in order to have 60fps, like Call of Duty.

But for videos/blu-rays, it does 1080p.

whats the use of having 1080p possibility while games cant do 30-60fps in game? I doubt the ps3 library has even 20% games that go 1080p.

That goes for Xbox 360 too dude. Majority of games released were only 720p.

If you wanted 1080p 60fps, then go whack off to PC.

Xbox 360 has an internal scaler chip. Most X360 games are rendered at 720p then scale to 1080p, not native 1080p.

PS3 doesn't have a scaler chip, that's why people often think X360 can do 1080p all the way but not PS3.
Whether or not PS3 game can do 1080p depends on each title. Although more than 20% of PS3 games can do 1080p. For 3D gameplay I'm not aware of any game that can do it on 1080p.

In any case, you will be very hard to tell a difference between 30 to 60 fps. Bluray are mostly encoded in 23.976 fps and nobody is complaining. The only time you can tell a difference between 30 and 60 fps is if you play it on PC. Unlike console, PC version aren't designed to rendered natively at 23.976 to 30 fps. They are designed to rendered natively at 59.94 (60) fps because that's what standard refresh rate for PC monitor is.

As for 720p to 1080p, it depends on how big and how good your TV is.

Actually I have been as of lately. As soon anything fast paced is going on it's quite easy to see that the fps is way to low.

Why would you want a movie to go at 60FPS when they're filmed at 24-30FPS?

There's a reason people thought high frame rate was dumb on The Hobbit. Because movies have been made and designed around 24FPS for decades and you can't just double the framerate and expect all the techniques to transfer over.

I actually think Bluray looks like shit. I was at my grandpa's house over the summer and watched Skyrim on Bluray. I already saw the movie in theaters twice (once regular, once IMAX) and on DVD so I have seen it in many different ways. Everything was too smooth and too clear, it felt like watching a soap opera just at how everything looked. I didn't like it at all.

However I'll probably be forced into the Bluray generation as DVD kinda dies out.
