Does it matter if the wii is 3.2 or 4.2 when using nsmb with uloader 3.1?

also, where can i download uloader 3.1?

Um, I don't know. I'm using 4.0. You should use a scrubbed version though so you don't have the disc update on there.

Anyway, Download here. Just use the uLoader folder in the apps folder in there, you don't need everything else if you're already with cIOS and crap. You can find cIOS rev15 on the thread for it (use the Search function!).

EDIT: I'm also going to confirm 100% that my aforementioned method works. Now we can all apologize for Waninkoko about cIOS rev15!

So.. that means it works with uloader 3.1 (softmod without modchip), to run New Super Mario Bros Wii with a DISC right?

My wife is asking me about 3 days to get this game to work, and i can't (call me noob

I have a WII + Wiikey 1.9 chip firmware 3.4E (no internet on it)

Have the FIX NSMB burned it and wont work...

Dont have hombrew or anything els on it.

when i put Gecko or NeoGamma files on a SD cart (root) and go to my wii channels-> SD it dont read anything.

Can someone please simply explane me if i can get it to work or not, so i can tell my wife ( and i can play MW2 further)

You need the homebrew channel installed to use Gecko or NeoGamma. Bannerbomb your Wii and get it going. Once you have the homebrew channel installed, put geckoos and/or neogamma folders into the apps folder on the SD card and they will launch from there.

You could also follow the steps in the first post and you should be able to launch it right from the disc channel. You probably can't run it now because you are missing the appropriate IOS. It would be trivial to install via DopIOS, but that also requires the homebrew channel.

Ok what i did so far...

Updated wii to 4.2E, installed homebrew channel, all fine, then deleted all on sd cart.

Put Gecko and NeoGamma on it, when i use Neo and put NSMB in (fix version) it craches my wii -> black screen...

With Gecko 1.9 i can go in menu but when u launche disk, it hangs and says "setting up drive, reading stats... thats all...

What i am doing wrong? my wife is killing me for this game

Is there something i need to do? put on sd or instal ?

You need the unpatched version and it should work. There is an unpatched 300mb - 400mb unpatched version out there. Use Gecko and the cheat file to get it to work

Got the game to work but now it hangs about playing 10 mins

HBC -> Gecko192b -> unpatched NSMB ( codes SMNP01.dol inc)

What can be wrong?

the patched wont boot or anything, and this one let me play just some mins...

there comes a failure , that i must read the handbook from wii and turn my wii off

the way with the patch, i dont understand
i can not follow the ways, and i dont want to patch the iso

and i want too it to play with my usb stick in fat 32 mode

here are some details from my wii :
cIOS : rev 14 (waninkoko) and hermes rev 4
wii system : 3.2 E
Softmod : YES
Modchip : NO

if anyone knows a solution please tell me

You need to make sure error 002 is on for that particular game if it isn't set as a global option.

Ok so I upgraded to cISO38 rev 15 and I'm running Neogamma but when I go to load the game the screen is just flashing.

Are there any specific options I need on in Neogamma to get it working (ie 002 fix etc)?

I'm on a NTSC system.......since it's a PAL disk do I need to do anything to it? I got the unpatched one I believe.

How do I update to 4.1 now then? I'm on 4.0E and Waninkoko's Updater doesn't work anymore because it makes IOS60 (or something like that) a stub and causes a brick. Which I don't want.

Remember to use the "Pack -> WAD" option (you should also use the "SaveAs" option).

Put the WAD files from NUSD onto an SD card, and install using WAD Manager.

Nah, people just want to play it that badly.

On another note, add me to that growing list of cIOSrev15 #001 error people. No dvd-r's work, now to figure out how to roll back to rev14 :\
NSMB still green-screens regardless of settings, so yeah, I give up, I'm going to try to get that USB drive instead. XD

Silly question but I got the NeoGamma folder in my apps folder on my SD card. If I install another version, do I just delete the other folder with the old version on it from the SD card?
