Just thought I'd add some more details, I do have the homebrew channel installed, and a while back I updated with an NTSC game. I do also have Bootmii and preloader installed (boot 2).

Don't know if that will make any differences to my results.

i got the pal game to load and play on my ntsc wii all i did was use cfg 46 usbload but the thing is the game freezes bad. I can play but can never make it to the save point it just freezes

Well, just take the time and softmod your hardmodded Wii, its definatley worth it.

And nearly everyone has a USB HD or a USB stick.

Play the game via USB.

I have a hardmoded wii, and i would really really like to know how to soft mod my wii so i can play the new mario bros. If someone can please explain it to me by sending me a PM i would apriciiate it, thanks, by the way i have a chiped pal console and the 4.3gb patched version of mario...

i was not really willing to softmod it.
So far i buy my vc & wiiware games on the wii shop; i update regurlarly...
all will be gone if i have to play the cat & mouse game with nintendo and the cIOS etc.

i know it's not long to update; use wiiflow or whatever; it's just i wanted to keep my as clean -modchip appart- as possible

i don't get it...
if you are on the official 4.1 should you be unable to run trucha signed disc and therefore any patched game?
are you sure it's actualy the patched thing and it's not unpatched?

The untouched will run fine on hardmodded-only Wii through the disc channel but it will freeze randomly during gameplay due to anti-piracy

My wife is asking me about 3 days to get this game to work, and i can't (call me noob

I have a WII + Wiikey 1.9 chip firmware 3.4E (no internet on it)

Have the FIX NSMB burned it and wont work...

Dont have hombrew or anything els on it.

when i put Gecko or NeoGamma files on a SD cart (root) and go to my wii channels-> SD it dont read anything.

Can someone please simply explane me if i can get it to work or not, so i can tell my wife ( and i can play MW2 further)

Twiser install the Homebrew channel to be able to see and run the NeoGamma app from your sd card and make sure they are in the apps folder eg sd:/apps/neogamma/boot.dol

dude, it sounds like you need to do some research on homebrew. Check out wiibrew or any of the guides around this site. In the meantime, tell your GF that it is impossible. That should buy you some more MW2 time!
