PainToad said:No, you are essentially now a softmod user if you are using NeoGamma.just4747 said:PainToad said:ffs, one minute your saying you don't want to softmod then the next your saying you are using NeoGamma. If you are using NeoGamma you are NOT using your D2Pro chip anymore.just4747 said:PainToad said:NSMB isn't. Unless you've patched your IOSes.
Isn't what? Working? I swear on my life I have not updated any IOS or anything in forever..am running 4.0U, and have a D2Pro chip. All I did was burn the scrubbed/patched iso from PirateBay and played the disc from NeoGamma, and that's it..works fine, I've been playing for over an hour now fine.
So the chip isn't helping this work right now at all?
That's fine, but I was mainly saying that all I needed was NeoGamma to load the pre-patched burned game, and that's it. It seems like other people are doing a ton of things to get it to run..just look back in this thread at all the craziness people are trying..why didn't I have to do anything like that?? It was so simple..
"why didn't I have to do anything like that?? "
Because you haven't got it to run from Disc Channel using ur chip, which is the "tricky" part.

Tanas said:Ive tried everything I can to try and get it not to boot from the Disk Channel using YAOSM without any success, I've done a fresh 3.2 install and it still works from the Disk Channel, I've even done the 4.2 update via the Wii menu and it still works.
And another thing, if youre booting the game using Neogamma it does still use the modchip, because if it wasnt it would just reset back to the Wii Menu.
Its must be patching it on the fly.just4747 said:Tanas said:Ive tried everything I can to try and get it not to boot from the Disk Channel using YAOSM without any success, I've done a fresh 3.2 install and it still works from the Disk Channel, I've even done the 4.2 update via the Wii menu and it still works.

That's what I thought..so even though I'm using NeoGamma, it is still using the chip in the end...so that's good to know. BUT, then what is NeoGamma doing to the disc that makes it play that the regular disc loading doesn't do???
IIRC, 4.2x was a problem FW version, unless the posts are wrong.notfrostyjosh said:i'm not sure what the problem is
i have wii menu 4.2u and the homebrew channel installed through bannerbomb
i try to load the cios installer through both sd card and usb and whenever i click "A" to install the wiimote just turns off. i have a gamecube controller plugged in too that doesnt seem to help.
=[
Not sure if this is correct, but if your're selecting ios 249 to install the ios's try 250 instead.Omega_2 said:IIRC, 4.2x was a problem FW version, unless the posts are wrong.notfrostyjosh said:i'm not sure what the problem is

I know the effects are black/white and a flickering screen, usually. I don't exactly recall the effects on the opposite (PAL on NTSC), but I would think that they somehow differ, as the cause is a difference in Hz IIRC...I have very limited knowledge on what makes NTSC and PAL unique.C175R said:Does anyone here had a prblem with black and white screen problem? 4.1U softmod no chip USB loader
Yeah, it's because your TV is playing NTSC while the game is on PAL. Some more modern TVs have a PAL setting, but more simply, try forcing NTSC video mode. I know Neogamma has it. I had this problem with CoverFloader, so I switched to NeoGamma, works just fine. I'm on World 2 as it is.
QUOTE(Ericthegreat @ Nov 10 2009, 10:33 PM) Black and white is due to playing PAL on NTSC tv (vice-versa?) try forceing NTSC in loader configuration, should work.

It's been very tricky to get it to work for me, personally. I'm using a patched one on my USB drive and loaded it through Neogamma, so as long as you have a patched one, can patch it, or [while unlikely], the patch doesn't matther), yes it will work as long as he forces NTSC video. I don't know if it'd load without the alt DOL patch, but hell, I guess it's worth a shot. If my internet didn't suck, I'd download an unpatched copy and try it myself.Ericthegreat said:Oi. I'm a chip user and have gotten he game working already. But my friend, 4.0 softmod user, wants me to burn him a copy (Don't say a thing about morality). The last time I updated his setup was with the Gamma backup loader, which still works on his system. Anything I can do to let it work for him? I could get him to run it off a USB drive with NeoGamma. Would that do the trick?Ericthegreat said:Black and white is due to playing PAL on NTSC tv (vice-versa?) try forceing NTSC in loader configuration, should work.
Yeah, that's likely to be the result. Or one that cuts out to a black screen frequently if I do understand the uniqueness of NTSC/PAL, because 50 out 60 frames would only be displayed. So it'd be all "WtfQUOTE said:I know the effects are black/white and a flickering screen, usually. Yea I know I just wasn't sure. I think you would just blackscreen....![]()

Yeah, wrong topic. While I don't know exactly since I overlooked it, I do know that like NSMB DS, you have to find an alternative route out of the castle, using a special item like a mini-mushroom to get through an exit that you can't get through as normal/large size. If you played NSMB DS, you probably knew this and I wasn't very helpful...So sorry if I wasn't.Giga_Gaia said:How do you get to the canon in World 1?
